  • Well in this game I finished with the spaceship victory. I made peace with the Inca and as part of the deal grabbed all of his aluminum for 30 turns. That was it he would have no chance to build a spaceship of his own. If I had to guess he would have used atomic bombs if I had attacked more of his inner core cities. He was spamming them like flapjacks on Sunday morning.
so long as you don't force them into too much of a corner they won't resort to nukes. Well, this one could mean anything and they could just end up using them - making them take too many casualties and turns to try take you out, successfully counterattacking into their core cities, having gone beyond the point of no return in diplo (citadel/ideologies/warmonger/spy steals). I just had a late era game where Isabella went Freedom and went to war over the Dutch polders (no such thing unfortunately) - she sent a huge wave after wave of units and I massacred them, then I started besieging her cities. Her capital fell, but once I began pounding Barcelona... she just up and tossed an A-Bomb at Rotterdam

Thank Patton for Bomb Shelters, I thought
    2. While I played tonight, my spies looked around and noticed the Incans building A bombs in most of their big cities. Their capital has this wide open area clear of cities to the NE of it. To get there I need to get open borders with the Arabs. Which they give me for 60 gold and 5 iron. I parked my huge army in Arab territory safe from the A bomb at least for the moment. In the meantime, I have an A bomb of my own and am building a second. I just researched the tech for nukes as well. Maybe I should just make peace with him and continue building the spaceship, or I could attack. General Patton has come around and began murdering those lousy Incan &*$#^%$s by the bushel! He'd say peace hell, ATTACK!

The Incans probably would give me a sweet deal for peace, and they haven't built the Apollo Program yet. Also, they do not have the ability to win a culture, diplo victory, or science victory, at least not in the near future.
    3. After thinking it over, I have a fleet with planes and ground troops, along with two nuke subs. I have an A bomb ready as well, which I'll put aboard a carrier. Why not? I'll attack him. With one huge army to the north coming out 6-7 hexes behind his capital from Arab territory. A smaller army pushing in from SE to NW, two cities are in the way before that force gets to his capital. Then the fleet can go up this nice one hex canal directly to the south of his capital. I have one coastal city to capture there. Then his capital is wide open from the south as well. I have a chance for this plan to succeed if he doesn't launch atomic weapons. If he does it will be murder. Before I do anything I'll get my fleet just about in position and have that army come charging down from the north behind him. This should be unreal.
    1. Not this time my friend. Now I may have to watch Patton once again. HA HA!!!

I was wondering do you use the R.E.D. modpack. It is really cool looking, each civ has its own diverse units. My next game I game I am going to play as Germany. I'll move up to King this time, if I beat that then back to Emperor. Sooner or later, I just might be ready for immortal. I better move fast before they make the AI better.
Yep, Woo, his kind, wuxia and more modern Eastern action movies in general. Started to develop a fixation around '88 when I saw Chinese Ghost Story for the 1st time. My first Woo was A Better Tomorrow II but in Killer & Hard Boiled he really nailed it.
A clear indication of this would be my avatar of Gwei Lun-Mei - by far the hottest chick in movies last year.
In my game as Spain, I DoWed the Inca in this huge war. He has the Manhattan Project and I am almost finished with it. Hopefully he does not hit me with A bombs anytime soon. I decided to build the Apollo program first and he just started working on it.

The war is rather interesting, but I have a long way to go to get to Cusco. My offensive was planned for three army groups, North, Center, and South. North AG got its first objective Delhi. South AG grabbed Tenochtitlan with the help of carrier based planes and battleships. The Center AG under Patton was forced to retreat with heavy losses though. The man is not too pleased to say the least. I do not think I can repeat what he said do to forum rules. LOL!!!
I thought the same thing. Now Marbozir has just about finished railroad, but Washington has aircraft in his cities already. I would love to see the AI DoW him right now. This never happens in Let' Plays though. Maybe it will happen this time. I know in my games the AI seems to love a good fight.
The AI is awful. I was just watching marbozir kill everything with hugely OP Chinese gatling guns and 4 range artys. The only way the AI is usually interesting to fight is if it has like technology, or slightly better.

The matchup! First in the green trunks with four hex range artillery, Marbozir, the man that feels he needs to use offensive citadels against Washington later! HA HA!!! And in this corner ladies and gentlemen, with just cannons, the one the only, the AI Napoleon!. No chance for you Nappy, next time research dynamite my friend!
Venice is a big chokepoint it will be hard to take. As far as Russia, not really. At the moment I am getting ready to take Hamburg from Germany. France has taken the rest of German territory. We are going to face off at some point. I just don't want a war on two or more fronts. I diplo married Belgrade as well. I have aircraft and oil now, I just need to build some.
This time took Warsaw, took Berlin. Italy asked me to DoW Germany. I said give me 10 turns. At the end of 10 turns my DoF w/ Germany was still in effect. I wish the would show when that was signed in info addict it would have helped me to not backstab Germany in that situation. Chainn denouncements from everywhere. I will try again. The interesting thing is that Italy and Russia both DoWed me on turn 1 of game.
This time I will stick to Europe. No North Africa expedition. Last time my colonies were cut off, because I could not get OB with Italy. We'll see how it goes this time.
WWI scenario is hard. I changed the AI handicap to prince and they are still hugely outproducing me. I was playing on king, I am going to try it on prince and see if I can keep up a bit better. I lost both my allied city states to Greece. The Russians were helping the Greeks with artillery. The Greeks took one of my colonies in NA with this huge fleet. I paid Rome to DoW them and they captured it back for themselves. Then Russia came from Warsaw with a huge force and were pounding my artillery to dust with their own artys and GW bombers. I rage quit. LOL!
I started my story the link is here. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=12237531&postcount=68

After thinking a bit, many parts will be generalized, and others will have a storyline. Probably moreso during wars though. Generalized parts can also be expanded upon later on. When I see how things play out I can then go back and try to make what happened before more interesting. After awhile if the story begins to gain momentum I will start a thread on stories and tales an finish it over ther. For the game I moved up to King level.
I also, wanted to tell stories about a lower general or mid rank officer of some type. Finally a story about a lower rank person, who eventually rises through the ranks to become an officer. I have from 1878-1918. So, plenty of time to play with.
Thank for the tips. It will be a learning process. When I do it it will be little by little. Lately, I have thought up some interesting storylines. What would be interesting is to tell the story from different angles. I will have the leaders talk about strategy, make jokes about enemies, have cigars and brandy, or cognac. They will get into arguments, etc. There should be intrigue added into the mix. However, all will depend on what happens in the game.

The sky is the limit, within the boundaries of forum rules anyway. I don't want to offend anyone, but theses Austrians and Hungarians mostly won't like Serbians, Slavs and Russians. What I have to do is figure out how to relate that without being offensive. You know what I mean?
Those kinds of wars make the game a lot of fun. I figured out to set the AI handicap difficulty level at prince on the scenario editor. Then the game will be like playing a single player game. The AI will build more units in the harder levels, but they won't go completely out of control. I downloaded imgur for my screenshots. I was wondering though, how do you make your smaller screenshots? Like when your showing points or what some civ said. Smaller info windows, instead of showing the entire screen. I want to organize things like you do on your posts, so events flow smoothly.

    Like you did here. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=12217414&postcount=4
Then Germany invaded. I never saw so many cannon. This is on Prince keep in mind, on or about turn 30-40, guesstimate, but I don't know how they built them all. Anyway, I drubbed them and sent them packing with heavy losses. I had a valiant CS gifted rifleman that fought and died with honor to save my crumbling northern flank. The shwerpunkt was also Prague, with a feint attack towards Vienna. Amidst all this chaos I settled a city in NA, to give the Italians a bit of competition. There will be plenty of spaghetti sauce and wine being spewed about over dinner, when conversations get heated from complaints about my territorial expansion.
