  • Yes, you can do it the old fashioned way (although I don't know if Steam will resync the mod... it might be better to rename the mod's folder to something else), but you need to delete the references to the files you deleted in the .modinfo file. The tech which reveals Luboric shouldn't be an issue, since which tech reveals the resource is defined in the Luboric's XML itself, rather than the tech's XML.
Hey! I don't know if it works, since there have been changes to some .lua files that the mod used (AssignStartingPlots.lua, specifically), but it might.

Yes, it would be possible to have the units not require Luboric; to remove the resource from the mod, IIRC what you need to do is remove the Luboric resource requirements in the units' XML files, delete the Luboric XML file, delete AssignStartingPlots.lua. Then remove the references to the deleted files in the .modinfo. There might be other references to Luboric that you need to remove as well (at least one building refers to it, for instance), so to be safe you should do a search for "luboric" in the mod's files.
Smallfish I hate to admit it, but I am having trouble on Prince level. I haven't played in so long it's almost like I forgot how to play. The last game I seemed to be always one step behind in tech. I got tercios they get rifles. My neighbors were the Byzantines and the Maya. They were both gunning for me. I took a city from both of them, yet couldn't finish them. My main problem was my economy. I think I was building too many buildings and trying to keep too many military units around. Anyway I will try a new game and see what happens. The game is harder since the last patch IMO.
Since I don't know what "essbee" is, I suppose the answer is no....
You wouldn't be smallfish without ramblings, would you? :)

I'm not a fan of editing XML's. But don't worry about me. I find bashing my head against the wall very challenging and fun, in a weird masochistic way. :D
Seems like you have a good reason to return to the show! :)

Persia is a monster since G&K. Infinite GA... Like AI lacked happiness before. Oh well... I need to play with them rather than against them much more than I do.

Take care and happy Apocalypse! :)
(Because I'm sure there will be another one.)
    Hi there! What's up?

I've listened to the episode on youtube and as expected its quality is much better than that of a live stream, so I was able to understand most of the parts. Thanks, anyways. :) It was a nice one. I couldn't stop laughing.

Still haven't tried Frontier map. Can you believe it? Not enough time and way too many ideas and projects live in my civ-addicted head. *sigh*

And no, I'm not a member of Spacebattles.com. Why would you think I am?

    Cheers. :)
Hey smallfish, Tambien is doing a 2012 Civ5 S&LP awards thread in S&LP, and I nominated your thread "From Zee Immortal Meatgrinder".You might want to go there and let him know what category you would like it to be in.
Sorry, mate. If it makes you feel better, know you're not totally alone. I'm stuck too. I want to play, but I have to work. And reading the forums only adds to my sadness. Life sucks! :D

As for Polycast, that's the bummer. Out of little you've said, I got nothing. :( So feel free to repeat everything!
Hi smallfish! Sorry about your rig. No alternatives right now?

Oh, btw... You need to repeat what you said on the last Polycast show. I couldn't understand a thing, you all were echoing sooo badly. :( I'm sure Dan will do his magic and it will be fine after release, but I've been curious since the stream. :)
Well I haven't dug in to the AI difficulty level bonuses that much. I believe they are the same as they were in vanilla (I can check for you if you want to).
And merry christmas to you too.
Sometimes - there are a few NQ members who love frontier and play it almost all the time. I have played a couple with plokoon and the frontier map lovers. Can't say I enjoy those maps often though :L
Me too, but I have been playing more and more Victoria II with my free time. I did have initial issues with the patch. After that was worked out the game runs nice and smooth. Of course I have not been playing nearly as much. Too addicted to Vicky 2.
