GOTM Server Move

The GOTM web site will move to a new server on Wednesday, July 27. During the cutover, there will be a short period when you will not be able to submit games. This is so that I can synchronise the new server. This may affect you during Wednesday or Thursday, depending on your time zone.

The planned timetable is:

19:00 GMT/UTC (12:00 PST : 15:00 EST : 20:00 BST)
I will disable submission pages on the current server and synchronise the databases on the two servers.

02:00 GMT/UTC (19:00 PST : 22:00 EST : 03:00 BST)
The Domain Name Servers (DNS) will switch to point at the new server. The change will propagate through the Internet as DNS caches expire, and this could take up to 24 hours for some users.

A few hours later
Your DNS will pick up the new server, and you will be able to use its submission pages.

I will post here when these changes actually take place, or if there are significant changes to the schedule.

If you are still unable to submit a game by Friday, please post here, or PM me. Please don't spam this thread.

I apologise for any inconvenience. If this causes you significant problems with submission deadlines, please let me know and we can make special arrangements to include your games.

Submission pages are now closed on the old server.

New server's files and database have been resynchronised with the old system.
The DNS switch over is expected shortly.

DNS changes should have propagated by now. If you are having any problems with the new server, cannot reach it, please contact me.
