    Adding AIs to Multiplayer game?

For the G&K players, you need to change the file in: assets/DLC/Expansion/Gameplay/XML/GameInfo

    Civilizations rated by tiers

I'd have to say that, for me, the 'strongest' civ is France: - The extra culture per city up to Steam Power is awesome: helps you bust out the first 2 SPs extremely quickly and also partially negates the increased culture cost caused by settling new cities. Allows for quicker expansion...

    Early game economy tips

Another point: I also find swapping the citizen focus around helps rather than a standard all-round focus early on - power through on food focus initially to grow quickly then swap over to gold focus (even if you have stagnant growth or maybe even -1 food) for a bit to boost the coffers. You...

    Early game economy tips

^^^^THIS!!! If you're struggling that badly with economy in the early game then something is going hideously wrong!! As long as you have enough to generally keep yourself ticking over there's no need for huge gold surpluses; you're much better off focusing on increasing science, culture, or...

    Gods & Kings fears?

My biggest fear with the EP is that, with the introduction of extra luxury resources, happiness will become so over abundant that it will take elements of management out of the game. It could lead to much less carefully planned expansion, for example, and may even allow for soul-sapping levels...

    Truffles?

This is a fantastic idea!!! Pretty shameful that this wasn't included from the start tbh - fair enough, like marble, it's down to luck/the map on whether you get this resource within your empire but that is and always has been part of the beauty of Civ isn't it? Give this man a job Firaxis :)

What does everybody think about unrestricted leaders?

I love it - makes the game so much more random and flexible. And fun. It can go from heavily in your favour to heavily against you - and that's the luck of the draw Being placed next to Monty or Shaka of Rome is enough to make any player quake in their boots LOL :)

Sorry about some of my bumps mate - quite new to the forums and didn't use to check the dates before posting. I do now :)

+% Gold and +% sci buildings, how to set up a efficient configuration.

Just my quick 2 pence worth: I agree with the bulbing - I used to settle all my GS in my Cap/Oxford City but find that bulbing is much more effective, especially at the higher levels. To a degree the GM gold sums above can generally translate over to GS (albeit of a lesser scale until you get...

    Corporations

Just out of interest, why Ethopia and America? I can understand the other 2 because of their UBs. Am I missing something here? Cheers :)

Is there an accepted standard opening play?

Pretty much spot on there mate I'd say, for most levels too. That said, I play on Immortal (random leader/ random civ unrestricted - quick speed) and generally tend to find that I can't afford to wait for my cap to grow to size 2 or 3 before getting my first settler out - get those prime city...

    Strategy suggestions

I find that cottage spamming most cities (unless the land is really crappy - but then I wouldnt settle there anyway) works well for me most times on Emperor regardless of what leader or civ I am - obviously it works much nicer if I'm a FIN leader. But this is a very rigid way of playing and...

Catapults with City Raider or Collateral Dmg?

Very good point :) I find I usually do the same: take 1 or 2 CR cats and the rest Col. I play on Emperor (sometimes Immortal) so I tend to build a lot of siege weapons. The only 1 thing I would say is that when I have Heroic Epic (I tend to beeline for Literature 99% of the time) in my...

Tank Beeline: The new dominant beeline in BtS?

Anyone who is that far ahead in tech/military clearly needs to step up a level :) please don't bump threads if you have nothing to contribute to them, just dropping a non-discussion post like this does not count as contribution. - ori

    The Liberalism Beeline

Great stuff :) The only thing I would say is that, personally, I leave scientific method as long as I can seeing as it obsoletes a lot of early science buildings (monasteries - sometimes I have at least 3 in every city) and especially the Great Library

    What is "Power Rating"?

I think the relative strength of your army has a lot to do with it. Ie troop promotions and how 'developed' your arny is in comparison with the rest of the world
