I go with viruses...sounds funny. :) At work I have Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition. They give us the ability to turn it off if it interfers with our work. :D I leave it one those since I have so many people in my address book it would not be a good thing to spam so many people.

I have had good experiences so far with my Maxtor 40 Giger. I have had one go bad on me but Maxtor sent out a replacement and gave me the chance to move my files from the old HDD to the new one. This 'new' one seems to be having problems now. It might just be Windows XP though or maybe it is...

If it is a slower speed it will clock all the other RAM down to that speed or cause system stability problems as stated by KaeptnOvi. KaeptnOvi gave a lot of good information. The only thing I would add is to get a friend that has done this kind of stuff a lot and have them watch and help you. :)

Well, atleast you were correct about the ME part. ;) I saw it is all the OS' fault. I don't feel like arguing in depth right now, I am too tired, but the OS shouldn't care how crappy a program and each MS OS has gotten better at that.
