    Favorite Unique Unit?

English Longbowmen, hitting cities from safe distances. Gotta love them.

    Civilization V: Complete Edition

I saw this offer some days ago but I've never bought anything outside from Steam. Is DLGamer trustworthy?

    Opinion: Archipelago = Fun?

England is my favorite Civ so far, so yes, I certainly like Archipelago. That said, resources are a problem and expansion gets boring after a while ("oh, great, more water tiles")

    Planning Based on AIs Found

He is one of the most obnoxious AIs, isn't he?

    Planning Based on AIs Found

Following with my current overload of new-guy questions: how much does the identity of AIs found influence your strategy? I'm not talking about AI specific actions, just the mere knowing that <insert AI name> is there. For example, I've played 3 games so far on which Catherine was my...

    Understanding Denounciations

Ah, yes, that might've been what caused it, I think i did sign a declaration with Cesar, which could explain why Alexander, at war with him, denounced me out of nowhere.

How many and which civilizations have you yet to win with?

Thanks for the tips, I'll try this next time!

    Understanding Denounciations

Further question about denunciations: Is it possible that signing a treaty with an AI could cause a denunciation from an AI at war with the one I'm signing it?

    Understanding Denounciations

I took no cities, i didn't even invade her. I had a small army, compared to other Civs, perhaps the denunciations were excuses to declare war? I've noticed most AIs really take advantage of having more "pointy sticks" than you. I declared war on the CS only once, and made peace after the...

    Understanding Denounciations

I suspect that once you do anything worthy of a denunciation, every single violent action counts towards more denunciations. 150 turns after the aforementioned attack, even though I only fought Catherine's units (she declared war on me), I kept getting denunciations and FOUR civs declared war on me.

How many and which civilizations have you yet to win with?

I started playing recently, but I'm obsessed with winning with England and as I don't like Domination Victories, it's proving hard to achieve.

    Understanding Denounciations

I did start a war with a CS on the first turns to steal some workers, but that's about it. Do wars with CS without allies/friends cause denounciations? Hahahaha I wouldn't have thought it was teasing

    Understanding Denounciations

So, Catherine declared war on me without provocation (as she has on every single game I've played with her as a AI). I attacked her and after killing her invaders, I started to kill off some of her units inside her territory taking advantage of her lack of ships. Then I get denounced by two...

    Not rushing and winning: possible?

I started playing Civ V recently. I played through difficulties 2, 3 and 4 and won comfortably each time. Now I find that on difficulty 5, no matter what, another civ always rushes for a Science Victory when I'm barely entering the Industrial Era or so. I like to play the game at my own pace...

    Civ V Exansions: Higher Requirements?

Just to clarify: Vanilla Civilization is running fine, but I was warned the Expansions could have trouble.

    Civ V Exansions: Higher Requirements?

Hi, all. I'm new to Civilization V, and I've been playing vanilla for now. I was considering buying both Expansions, but I was warned by a friend with a similar specs PC than me that with the Expansions installed the game would crawl for him. I was wondering if it could be possible that the...
