Absolution 4: Tabula Rasa

OOC: Only for story purposes. :)

IC: Yes! What's so crazy about that? It will cost 4EP, and eventually cost almost nothing. We'll even pay you! 1 EP.

To: Octavian, the Prime Citizen of Satura
From: Emperor Zhaohui Longwei of the Heavenly Dragon Empire

1 EP will be shipped to Persia for pickup. Please make sure that your minions are plague free.

From Octavian, the Prime Citizen of Satura
To the High Priest Kopesh of Persia

For the sake of preventing the spread of Zulep's Boils disease, all future trade will be placed on the island of Shiraz, and you/we will pick up/deposit on alternate weeks. We hope that we can trust you to leave the 1EP on the island as well, for we need it to pay Punt and help combat the disease's easternmost expansion at Aureapolis. In other news, a supernatural disease such as this may have many cures. Already, we've discovered that calm meditation can reduce swelling, especially if following cutting and hot cupping procedures; we tell you this so that you may investigate further and be prepared when the horrors of Zulep's torture eventually and sadly arrives.

In other news, we're investigating the use of wine and honey to purify wounds. We've long used such balms, imported on the small market from you or from Punt, for our whipping scars. Hopefully, our research will come fruitful of any aid against the insidious disease. Please research further the potential curing powers, as you currently have a direct supply, and we don't. If we solve Zorro's Riddle of Honey, we may push back Zulep's Boils once and for all!

Zorro's grace be with you.

From Shang
To the Khan

You reap what you sow.

At our backs, six units of swordsmen shall cut you down.

Prepare to die.

@Tycho: The Kurds have an offer for you as well, a trade of Dyes for your Woodcrafts. They are less obnoxious than the Khan (well, depending on who you ask).

Or I need to hassle freeman more to buy their stuff.

I don't think that they think very hard, at all. It's mostly the Cyrians or the Iberions anyway. :p

(it is definately IC, but I won't say it anywhere where they can hear me do it)

Spoiler no longer relevant :
During this game. I have done several questionable things. I have made projects, built a trade empire, and rose to an income of nearly 50EP.

But I should have never move SKILORD close to insanity. That is a grave mistake, and one which I hope I would try to avoid in the future. I should not have made a social group for our discussions, nor pestered him about it, and make silly and stupid posts about myself.

For my mistakes, I will quit this game and make all our lives easier. Hopefully, SKILORD be a happier, more satisfied mod without my interference and annoyance.

Good luck, buddy. Bye.

-Terrance.

Spoiler :
The needle on my sanity gauge stays stuck in one direction and there is no moving it. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Now, if for some reason you really feel that way and are really concerned about those things, then I apologize for creating that perception.

SKILORD convinced me to see the darkness. I shall play on.

EDIT: I think I just achieved absolution...

Do I still get EP from the woodcrafts and also from the dyes?

If so, I have no problems with it.

Yeah, you're commercial. You get an EP for the import like anyone else and an EP for the export because of your trait.

Having Trade Goods sitting there is just leaving a bunch of money on the table if you're commercial.

Sounds good to me then, it can go right on ahead with this trade deal.

Cheer up Emo Kid

(Commercial Story: Land of the Sun, Trade Good (Blown Glass))

-

"All is lost!" the men of Levant exclaimed, looking across their land, and they often came to the Winter Palace where the new Philosopher King had make his permanent home.

He would work to console them, "Peace has come, there are non-agression pacts in place, we shall be safe for now."

"The Saturans betrayed us! If we had just negotiated on our own with the Kurds this would have been fine!" some might exclaim.

But when these men said that to Osama he would rebuke them, "The Saturans acted nobly. We could not have asked for a better ally. It was all chance, the dice fell where they did and the Stones beat us this round."

"Dice?" the complainers would ask, before being shoved out of the palace.

"We lost our sources of Dyes! We will go bankrupt!"

The Philosopher King would always smile to this question, "What resources do we have left to work with?" he would ask.

"Sand." Was always the reply.

"Then we shall make great trade goods with the sand. I have learned a trick from the Kurds about this sand, I have even improved upon their methods... one day you will see that we sit upon an Empire of Gold."
