Alright, here's a proposal for a new set of ministries:

Prime Minister
This poor soul will be responsible for coordinating the cabinet and ensuring that all other ministers gets their orders etc. done in time.

Deputy Prime Minister
Fairly obvious what this one does. Keep in mind that a person can hold multiple ministries.

Minister of Foreign Relations
Responsible for, you guessed it, our foreign relations. Should we seek to ally one? Should we bully or bribe a city-state?

Minister of Intelligence
Spies! Spies everywhere! Try to be a bit more subtle than the newspaper, though.

Minister of Infrastructure
In some ways, this is a low-end ministry, but an important one nevertheless, as the Ministry of Infrastructure controls our workers.

Minister of Construction
Decides what gets built in every city.

Minister of Economy
Responsible for ensuring that our treasury doesn't run, and is the one who authorizes expenditures.

Minister of Defence
Military units orders.

Minister of Culture
No change.

Minister of Science
No change.

The purpose of this is mainly to make the ministries more equal, as Science and Culture were rather umimportant compared to the other two offices. The Ministry of Interior has been split into Infrastructure and Construction, and the Prime Minister is no longer responsible for our diplomacy. Intelligence, Economy, and Defence are new, as their areas were grey areas.

Hmm . . . bearing in mind that a government within the current sized Senate would consist of at most four members, I had some other thoughts.

If we want to make the ministries of equal importance, instead of splitting apart the prime minister and interior ministry portfolios we could seek to merge the science and culture ministries into a single ministry.

I think intelligence could get bundled into another ministry, whether foreign affairs or defence.

So my noodling comes out to:

Prime Minister
Deputy Prime Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs (diplomacy and maybe espionage?)
Minister of the Interior
Minister of Economy
Minister of Defence (maybe including espionage?)
Minister of Progress (science and culture)

Your thoughts?

Perhaps senators of cities decide whats built in cities, a man from the frontier may have more knowledge abouts what needed there than a fresh faced kid from the capital.

Well realistically, look at the active players, condensing ministries is a good idea.

Didn't get the message for some reason, but will post screenshots of military units, production options, and policies shortly. In the process of doing the housekeeping stuff now.

...If you want to rename your character for IC-type stuff, go ahead; you'll still be referred to as Melda though for the purposes of POP info.

Also, I would be greatly appreciative if all players (apart from the five that have posted here within the last week - Melda, Magnive, Heerlo, Silverman, and Et Absoluti) who are still interested in participating in this would post so within the next 24 hours. If not, I will assume that you are no longer active and will factor you out of the POP opinion chart.

I would also like to rename my character to just Augustus.

Hello, I am still here, I have just been really busy, and have not been able to post.

Will post my party platform and details tonight.

He is merely a pragmatist, he will do whatever it takes to make Pulias the greatest empire on this earth.

The founder and leader of the Imperial pa arty recognized that the pacifist politics of the PAU and the PPP are out of place in our time.We will do whatever it takes to make Pulias strong, for the people of Pulias are worth doing anything for.
