Farewell Madagascar
After teleporting the remaining islands that they owned into space, Captain Farage announced they were going to go where no immigrants could follow. This place turned out to be a black hole. Oh well.
-Madagascar is rip ;_;
End of the Food Wars? The Lunar Summit
The Food Wars started off with Nova Terra announcing plans for a pre-emptive embargo on Skeletal automobiles, pre-empting mass investment by the Skeletals into the industry and their potential monopoly building. The Peaceful Skeleton Realm responded by posting Crash Course Economics videos on Nova Terras Facebook page and by urging Nova Terra to lift their tariffs. After a brief discussion, Nova Terra announced that they would be lifting all tariffs on the Peaceful Skeleton Realm in exchange for a guarantee that they would not disrupt the worlds food supply for political ends. This effectively ending the growing tensions surrounding this issue, pleasing the people of both Nova Terra and the Peaceful Skeleton Realm. An export deal involving the exportation of Nova Terran metals, something that Nova Terra has an abundance of thanks to the recent mining booms in Dawnstar, was struck with the Skeletals to the benefit of both parties.
Another thing that came out of this discussion was the organization of an economic conference on the Moon. Many nations sent delegates to these talks, although they did not produce anything concrete investors are pleased about this and this has boosted the worlds economies. Could this be the beginning of increased international cooperation?
Although the two main parties of the Food Wars had resolved their differences, nations are still trying to reduce their dependence on Skeletal imports of food, most of all the Lunar Kingdom of Bastetten, the Highwaymen and the Mystery Country. The Peaceful Skeleton Realm seemed to have pre-empted this by, instead of investing into their own agricultural products, investing in things used by farmers. They used Nova Terran steel to produce thousands of tractors, pick-up trucks, pitchforks and shovels which they exported to nations interested in expanding their agriculture industry. For a nation that denounces spreadsheets and Sonerealist wisdom they sure have a roaring economy.
-Everyone gets a bonus $5 from international cooperation.
-Nova Terra and the Peaceful Skeleton Realm get an additional 2 ECO from booming economies
Meanwhile in Space!
While not as exciting as what was happening on Earth, quite a few things happened this year in Space. The Lunar Kingdom of Bastetten continued their expansion of Mars, establishing an agriculture colony called Halibqubb south of the Martian capital, Perilbes. The colony has focused on producing dairy products, primarily milk. They also increased security in the Peribles in response to the attacks on them by the Giant Enemy Communist Octopus.
The Highwaymen gobbled up one of the last remaining terraformable planets this year, Venus. Established by brave
debt slaves volunteers, this has firmly put the Highwaymens foot in the extra-terrestrial colonial door. In other solar news, the Mystery Country expanded their satellite program. They also made rapid expansions to their military program for yet-to-be-revealed reasons.
In extra-solar news, Nova Terra quietly but efficiently expanded its space realm. But who could forget when Abbottsford finally made contact with Space Australia? Located in the Space Countries Galaxy, they were able to make contact thanks to a recently discovered Stargate in
Uluru Abbotts Rock. Due to cultural and political similarities, Space Australia has agreed to help Abbott in his affairs. However, they are limited on how much can be sent through the Stargate every year and due to the distances between galaxies other means of transportation would be unfeasible.
-The Mystery Country and the Highwaymen get 1 ECO from their space expansion this turn. Bastetten and Abbottsford gets 2 ECO and 1 MIL.
Interesting Times in Nova Terra
Concerned that the growing Orwell movement could pose a major threat to the stability of the government, Nova Terra has reluctantly decided to give into their demands. Surveillance systems all across the Americas were either downsized or completely dismantled, allowing an increase in privacy for the common citizen. This, combined with the end of the Skeletal tariffs, has caused the large majority of popular decent to disappear overnight. The average citizen reports that they more satisfied with the government than they have been for a long time. Nova Terra also re-established the Nationalist Congress. Similar to the National Peoples Congress of the 21st Century, it is elected by the people of the various planets of Nova Terra and is theoretically supposed to serve as an executive branch of government. In practice it is little more than a rubber stamp organization, as congressmen must be members of the Nationalist Party and be approved by the Imperator resulting in a one party body. Additionally, all laws must go through the Council of Moffs and the Imperator before they are approved, leaving the Nationalist Congress with very little de facto power. Even so, the Congress will be a valuable tool for determining the citizens opinions and may even let them express their opinions civilly, especially on issues deemed non-controversial or unimportant by the state.
In related news, Nova Terra started to undergo a massive bureaucratic reform. This included an audit of the government by the Inquisition, starting with the Inquisition themselves. Tym Nightshade started to uncover a large amount of unusual transactions coming out of the middle management of the organization. After interrogating these managers, he uncovered a cabal of corrupt anti-government bureaucrats had infiltrated the Inquisition and had been feeding him false reports on the state of national security. He believes that they may have been needlessly complicating the actions that were to be undertaken by the taskforce to deal with the Orwell movement by using lots of red tape. Tym then performed a purge of his department, with all the guilty parties being executed or fleeing the country.
It became clear that this Cabal had foreign support, as less than a day this purge happened highly embarrassing documents were leaked on the internet. A few years ago, foreign hackers stole a bunch of low quality erotic slash fiction written by a high ranking secretary. The erotica was so bad that it broke the Nasu-Takeshi scale, which is why they were stolen by foreign hackers presumably. Unfortunately, most people had read the stories by the time they were purged from the web. The erotica was so unintentionally hilarious and stupid that people have fits of hysterical laughter whenever they interact with the government. Memorable phrases from the stories has entered the public lexicon and are said often, causing the most serious of occasions to turn into a laughing stock. This has caused the government some major embarrassment and has undermined the peoples confidence somewhat.
Tym Nightshade recommends that the Inquisition conduct a purge in the Nova Terran bureaucracy to reduce the influence of the Cabal and their unknown foreign friends. With the money invested into reforming the bureaucracy, the Inquisition has returned to full capacity however more money invested into the purge will, as always, produce better results.
In unrelated news, the Death Korps of Kreig has touched down in Eagles Landing, ready to bring the Imperators justice to Nova Terras enemies.
-Stability shenanigans effect Nova Terra in all the ways
-Nova Terra gets 1 MIL from the Death Korps
Peaceful Skeleton Realm Expands the Peacekeepers
Due to public pressure for a larger military and the recent diplomatic tension, the Peaceful Skeleton Realm has decided to expand their military. Their plan is to focus on quality over quantity, they aim not to have the biggest army but instead have a very well trained and equipped army. In the latest wave of their modernization plans, they have expanded their airforce quite a lot. They have also expanded their anti-aircraft capacity, creating a new type of flak gun that targets helicopters. Another innovation that they are making is a missile defense system designed to stop pesky WMDs. This defense system has the potential to be used offensively, but the Skeletals assure the world that they are commited to peace and that they are only developing this system to protect their populace.
-Peaceful Skeleton Realm gets another MIL for military expansion
-Stability boost for kotowing to the publics demands
The Poor Peoples Fund Boosts Government Popularity
Support for the Kingdom of the Caucasus is at an all-time high as the Minister for Finance, Makis Voridis, announced a much anticipated Fund for Poor Citizens. While described as a modest amount of money, it is one of the most generous welfare programs outside of the Skeleton Realm. This has helped uplift thousands of Caucasisans from poverty, which has actually increased the strength of the economy. Their actions, along with the actions of the Skeletals, proves that it is very possible for one to be wealthy and to be nice.
-The Kingdom of the Caucasus gets 1 ECO and a small stability improvement from their welfare programs

Okay, things are going to work a bit different considering its the final update. First things first,
orders lock due on the 4th of April my time. I expect normal orders PLUS an outline of your goals and plans for the next 35ish years. That section can be as long or as short as you like, but the longer is better (within reason). I will use these orders to determine what happens in the update, although if people have conflicting plans and/or goals Ill use magical number wizardry to determine who gets what. I will also base the future on RP and actions you did in the game, although some RP might be rendered non-canonical due to the large amount of time involved. And as always you can post things that blatantly contradict the update people dont get ye panties in a twist just note that if its an overreach then it will be rendered non-canonical. Also Im really busy and Im really tired so if this makes no sense then Ill rewrite it later.
