This is a WW2 German Rocket Launcher. Used as a light and mobile artillary. It fires 5 rockets during a duration of 10 seconds otherwise the chasis would break from the force of the rockets. Hope you guys like it!

I finished the model. Ill start the Animations tommarow.

Damn. I almost had a heart attack thinking that aaglo was making this when I saw the title in my usercp. But Vbraun are you actually gonna complete this unit? :p

Yes im going to complete it. Im going to try and have the animations done tommarow. And then render the day after tommarow then get it into civ the next day. The only problem is i have to learn how to do smoke :p

Not fair! I was also making that one!

I guess that's what you get when you model stuff during a weekend trip with no internet and don't tell the forum people.

EDIT: Actually, they aren't quite the same... Vbraun's has five barrels, mine's based on the image on the request thread and has six... Anyone knows the name of my Neberwerfer? :)

LuddiV, yup, this is the moaning minnie ;)
VBraun, once again, good job! ;) If you have some trouble making smoke, you could always ask a fellow unit creator for some help ;)

I don't think this was used as a antitank gun though, more of an artillery unit. It wasn't really accurate, build as a response to the Katyusha, and could fire at a distance of 7000 meters. It was also very cheap to manufacture.

Straczynski; I think the one with 6 barrels is the 15 cm nebelwerfer 41 :)

cool- will it come with a freing crew like the firaxis HMG gunners ?

Although it'd be nice, the crew would have to get at least 10 meters behind the gun for it to fire, so that would be out of the frame :)
And VBraun already stated:
Edit: Note: I wouldnt be able to add guys myself.

That looks great!
It actually looks like the civ3-artillery, with the gun replaced with those five barrels. Good job, Vbraun

Thats what i was baseing it off of. Thats what im going to use to base the fidget, fortify, and run off of. Check the fortify animation bellow and look at the arttillarys.

@Straczynski- I guess we'll just have more Neberwerfers. It looks good.

@Zeekater- Im going to try and add the smoke my self first. I was wrong when it was empty it was as light as an anti-tank gun. So it is artillary. Ill fix that in my post.

Heres a preview of the Fortify anim. Its in avi cause im too lazy to mkae a gif. All you need todo is open it in Windows Media player. And it should look better in game cause of the stupid jpegs.

She's a beauty! I couldn't figure out how the thing would fortify, but now I know...
BTW, what program are you using? Because if it's Blender, I might consider stopping to use OpenFX and try Blender out...

Im using Blender. Your going to have to try and figure the camera angles out your self untill i perfect mine. I also plan to write a tutorial out after i have perfected doing the animation stuff.

Update: I deleted the skelton for the wires. (thats how i got the deformation) and now when i repoen it it reverts back to the straight tube. This is going to take the rest of the day to fix. (I also have to fix the animations i used.) Also now the poles in the back have shadows.
