Good one!:goodjob:
I am a bit hesitant about the wisdom in this suggestion, though. A thread without Hitler, muslims or destructive toys usually generates so little interest that it is not worth the effort. But since it is you, I will reconsider it.

Oh I still have quite a way to go before I reach the same level of "popularity" as I have in OT anyway...:mischief:

Well, that's what you get for peddling evil leftist anarcho-syndicalist propaganda in a forum where there is a substantial population of right-minded people trying to solve world poverty by advocating ultra-capitalism. ;)

Good luck to all of you and have fun(Insert smilie of your choice here).

Hi,
I have unfortunately little time to enter the quiz. Which is as good as ever from you. However I would disagree at least at half. His mother was German, his father seemed of German origin at least, too. Also his father left the family shortly after his birth, IIRC. Also Copernicus joined later the German and not Polish student association and worked in Prussia (Frauenburg).
That's all I want to add here.

I don't see the relevance in this criticism at all.
- I never claimed that those 5 people were purely etnically Poles.
- I don't think nationality was such an important issue in that era.
- I think that it is uncontroversial to associate those 5 with Polish cultural life.
- However, I don't want to discuss topics in an ongoing quiz, even if the interest so far is 0.
So most important, thanks for your feedback.:)
I have no idea why anyone else shows any interest, was it really so bad?

Hi quiz players :wavey:

I haven't had the time or inclination to play these quizzes of late, but I just want to say what a great question Luc has put forward with the Hollywood screen goddess. Hubba hubba!

Hi there attention hure! ;)

I will submit by the deadline, too many irons in the fire right now. A quick glance at the quiz tells me that I will end up in the lower tier though. But that doesn't matter of course.

:)

I think you might do quite well, so by all means submit.
Actually the way in look thus far, you might win on default...

Ay ay ay! I think I'd manage no more than 4 points, at best. Maybe 8 if I guess at likely chess champions.

It's an interesting-looking quiz, though, and I'll enjoy reading the answers.

 Is it that difficult?

I will try to make a thorough and attractive presentation, so fun and learning is mixed in good proportions.:D
The first to open an account is sydhe, who scores 24.:goodjob:
So there you go reaching for the stars, trooper.:)

I doubt it. More likely it just happens not to overlap very well with my knowledge base. (I.e., I'm too thick. :smug: )

Do you just have a natural homing beacon to on-screen beauties on CFC?

thetrooper steps into the fray with 14.:goodjob:
The contest will be closed by midnight if I don't get any requests about postponing the deadline.

Two participants, that's a downright shame.

OTOH this is the best I've ever done in a Cumulative PM-based History Quiz.

I've beaten more than 100000 CFC members! ;)

Nice and balanced quiz luceafarul!
