And just to be clear so there's no more confusion, he was defending with a strength of one. The defender wins in case of a tie, so the attack failed.

Oh yeah, I probably should have included that I might not be here for a couple days due to real life stuff. I figured the adjustments probably wouldn't effect my plans since most of them are on the other side of the map.

I find the disband rule a really bizzare concept in Diplomacy. How are you supposed to stay competitive if you have to lose a unit and your enemy gains a unit every time you have a base captured?

I guess the idea is that it's better to be on the offensive then to try to defend, but then you do have to keep control of your home region so that you can train units...

Disband the Fleet at Bot.

I will take the liberty of assuming that Methos wishes to retreat rather than to disband; let me know if that is not what you want and I shall change it. This game seems to be playing out pretty well for England, France clings on for dear life, Germany's in trouble Italy's in Spain, Spain is in France, and Turkey's tucked into a nice corner on the map.

France and Russia are screwed until their diplomats are allowed across the borders.

Yay France and Russia both fail!

Also, I think once we get close to the end of this game, I'll start a new one using a different variant (not sure which one). That way Charles can "smite you all the game where I win!"

Deadline's been pushed back to Friday the 27th due to a request for an extension.

Guys, at least give me a reason for not returning diplomacy! As in 'you smell' or somesort.

A tip from this Diplomacy Art of War is to talk with everyone, including enemies.
