IC: The Kingdom of Spain hs officially joined into the Catholic Leauge and supports the Pope's decision to not recognize Byzantium as the leader of Orthodoxy.

You are in no position to allow Junayd Shah anything, or deny him. He will possess all coastline on the Persian Gulf, so that it may be his private bathtub. If you hand over the province you took next turn, you will be compensated with another province along your border and friendly relations will be restored.
 
You do not need to wait for next turn. Junayd Shah has been informed that you can withdraw your claim now and switch it to another province, making things simpler. He likes simple.
 
Bobbtjoe I urge you to take the Holy Land because you should know what the Shia said "If we ever take the holy land we shall dig up the graves of Omer, Osman and Ebu Bekr", you know these are the 3/4 rightful caliphs, If you don't take the holy land the Islamic (Sunni) world will be disgraced

Byzantium dosnt care who gets the muslim holy land, as logn as they allow Byzantine Muslims ( a growing minority) the right to go on a pilgrimage.

also, im sick of being a Christian nation as of now, the Byzantine Republic is a secular nation, but does not discriminate (or support) any religion. we beilive this is fair to the people, both abroad and within.

Pretty sure you can, as you only need to cross seas to be able to land in one of his provinces.

While not much action occurred in the past four years, a lot, and I mean a lot of diplomacy happened. So much, that basically every nation (except for a few, they are the lucky ones) have aligned themselves to either the Christian nations, the Islamic nations, or the free nations. It's been only eight years and the world is already divided into so many camps. Here, the staff at Light On Literacy are eagerly awaiting to see where this goes, and how we can profit from it :evil:

GM Notes- Since the first turn, a lot of these religious alliance groups have popped up. And IMO, these groups are kinda a way of circumventing the diplomacy system, by giving the people who join an automatic alliance with the rest of the group. So from now on, these groups will be allowed, but members won't get the alliance casus belli if another member is attacked, and it won't cost a diplo point to get in. These groups will be there as a kinda "meeting ground" for nations of similar faiths and beliefs, and how they want to carve out the world, or whatever, not as an alliance. To have an alliance, you have to do it the old fashioned way and sign it one update at a time.

For countries just joining us, on your joining turn you only get starting claims, and you cannot use your income, as you technically haven't made it yet.

Also, please note, once you sign one of the big four, you cannot disband it until the next turn. This is to prevent a constant switching of sides, which plagued the other IOT's. Though it won't cost any diplo points to disband.


Also, if I missed any diplomacy, please PM me about it (there were a lot of posts to sift thorough and I was bound to miss one or two).
