Operative (Jedi) - 11/17/2006

Here's my first all melee type unit. I will be using this as a future spy/operative. He is based on the Jedi, but I know he is not a perfect match (no robes, etc...). He has been tested, and I'm really happy how it looks in game. Also, the file includes a second more traditional death, not the Jedi vanishing thingie.

Update: Sith
Here's a recolored red version to represent the Sith. He has a new victory and uses a Lightning attack as well (cropped in preview, it appears different in game).

Beautiful! I really like the animations! It would be great if you could create one with a red lightsaber, as well. It would be of great use to the Star Wars mod.

Up 'til now I have never wanted to use Jedi units in Civ3, but these just changed my mind! As usual your animations are superb, and I love the attention to detail you use (like the vanishing death). Awesome units! Thanks very much!

Fantastic work. The lightning attack looks splendid, and I know how hard those are to do... My favourite bit is actually the kick. Wonderfully animated.

Edit: After comparing the two, it looks a little unrealistic that the jedi kicks someone and the sith doesn't.

Kicking doesn't kill as much as slicing. Excessive killing is the path to the dark side.
