If you want a simple Booze Bottle/Molotov Cocktail type of Bomb to replace the Normal Game Bombs used with Aircraft, I made two versions you can use to Burn your Enemies.
MolotovBomb.flc- Normal Bold Fire
BoozeBomb.flc- Blue Alcohol Fire

These animations are best used with smaller, slow flying Aircraft designs that are suitable to allow Manually tossing out a Bottle when Bombing... Like the Early Biplanes with a crazed Pilot

I needed the Molotov Bomb for "Old Buzzard" ( the Farmers' Old Crop Duster in EFZI2)...In any case, just thought I would upload these for others who might want them.

Sound and both animations are included.
The sound is used for both animations.

You can download the Zip Here

Fun! :D

Maybe this would go better in the units forum. :hmm:

againsttheflow... Well, I decided to place the files here because this is Not a Complete Unit...Just Bomb Graphics Additions if wanted :)

Ozymandias... Guess it could work for Napalm but in a Bottle? :)
Actually, the Molotov Bomb Looks Very Good on my Dark Map...Much better than the preview can show because the way the game shows colors and animations differs Greatly from any preview...but you can check how it looks in your game to see how it is for you. Personally, I like it very much on my Dark Map. It is exactly what I wanted for Graphics effect. Burning Zombies

Basically... This is just one of the many simple things that can add a nice difference to a game. I am pleased with the results, at least for a dark map but I would need someone that uses a light map to tell me what they see...
A Dark Map shows the Flames very well blended against the background and without a Red/Brown line. Very Realistic.
The CIV game shows Red/Brown colors differently than previews...But again, Lighter Maps may show the colors more drastic by comparison. This is due to overall contrast and background color...This can make a big difference.

This is why it is important to make all graphics, units included, for the background where they will be seen. We all have different games so it is not possible to make a panacea graphics addition that will appear the same and accommodate all variations. I just uploaded these animations in case someone else can use them but testing will certainly show if they are worth adding to your own personal games :)

Cool! Remember what Andy (from the gun shop) said in the newer version of Dawn of the Dead: "All it does is roast'em a little while and left'em charred and smellin like Jimmy Dean. Now I'm real $@*%ing hungry!"

Yes, I'm a zombie apocalypse movie fan. Whenever I see a new one at the store, there's a good chance I'll buy it.

Great work, as always, Vuldacon!

Yeah! A molotov cocktail bomb! Cool. This reminds me of Left 4 Dead, the new Valve game that sticks you in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. I got the demo, and I must say some of it reminded me of EFZI.

These animations are for small aircraft "Bombs" so the trajectory of the bottle is set for use as aircraft Bombs but if someone wanted the animations for a Unit, they could reposition the Bottle so the trajectory would fit the unit they want it for. They could also just copy the Bottles from "The Drunk" Unit for correct positions.

Probably the easiest thing to do if wanted as a Unit would be to set the "Molotov Bomb" as a Unit in the editor then set it as immobile to use from Cities or Buildings for use without needing a Unit to toss it. Obviously this would appear as "someone" tossed the Molotov Bomb from the city or building. The Bottle Trajectory and Bottle Rag Flame Colors could be adjusted easily in a Graphics Editor.

I included three different Fires with "The Drunk" that can be used so it would just be a matter of Recoloring the Bottle flames and adding the Fire color you prefer then adding the Bottle colors to the Flame palettes.
