News: SGOTM 4 Sign-up Thread

I am in for the merge, too. I believe I am the aforementioned team member who RobertTheBruce had yet to hear from. As for the new team name... well that is still a matter of debate :D
 
This scenario looks fascinating, would love to participate. Unfortunately, RL has been severely limiting my CIV playing time, so I think I need to stick to a dedicated lurker role.

@ g_storrow: We only have 4 Gypsy Kings moving from vanilla to Warlords for this one, so we would be happy to have you (and Immaculate, if he signs up ... I have not seen his sign-up post yet) with us. I can guarantee you fast play, few skips and deep discussions if you should agree to join us, as I think we have been the fastest playing vanilla team in SGOTM 3. Have you checked your PM box?

Of course he is welcome to join us as a dedicated lurker or even as a member who plays a set if he finds the time.

I would love to join. Immaculate wont be back until at least the 27th feb I think so I am unsure of his participation.

I'll give you the working name of One Short Straw for now. Please get it resolved in the next 24 hours as I have to prepare the team saves before we begin. Once it's burned into the starting save you can't change it.

[EDIT] Just seen TDK's post. 'One Short Straw' it will be.

If you would rather, we can hold a spoiler here with everyone, but it's hard enough to shake up a CDZ team together that it's custom to have the thread over there.
 
Beorn we seem to have been using the spoiler over here for this game and especially with non cdz'ers we should make an effort to use this one, its only a few more clicks to get here :)
 
I read the rules but I may have missed this somewhere. I don't understand the idea of official lurkers.

If someone isn't playing, he can read as many team threads as he likes, correct? Is there a rule somewhere that states no one can post unless they are an official lurker and thus only reading one thread? I have read a couple team threads for SGOTM3 but never posted since I wasn't sure if I were allowed. I'm guessing once a non-player has poked into more then one thread he shouldn't post but does someone need to be an official lurker to post? Or does it mean something else?


I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve. I'm really excited about the new game starting. :)
 
Official lurker is a non-playing character of the team. It is a way to get more involved, but it prevents you from poking around.

This should be in the readme somewhere, I have seen that question way too often for Mr H's sake ;)
 
An official lurker as I understand it gives them the right to post and comment on the game for just that one thread.

Any thread can be read by pure lurkers, but an official lurker agrees to look at only one thread.
