I've checked other threads here, and it seems that in 2.5, Inquisition should work. However, it doesn't on mine. I can build an Inquisitor, but he does nothing. He just sits there....
You have to move the inquisitor to a city with a non-state religion and purge it. It's done the same way as spreading a religion with a missionary, but essentially reversed.
I know. I had Intolerant as my religious civic, and I moved the Inquisitor to a city with Hinduism(my state religion was Hellenism), and he just sits there.There's no "Remove Non-State Religion) button. I don't get why he doesn't do anything.
You need to have your state religion in the city you want to purge.
And you can't found a second religion if you already founded one? good to know I don't have to wait for other to reach certain tech to go forwartd ... woohoo
