What Civs are in?

15 confirmed civs so far:

Rome
Egypt
Spain
Greece
France
India
Japan
Arabia
China
Germany
Mongols
Russia
Aztecs
Africa
Phoenicia

My guess is the England will be the last confirmed.

^Hmm...

whered you get this info?

and...

Africa - wtf? thats even worse than the Native American civ... theres gonna be a lota complaining on this one, im predicting.

Phoenicia - really? not that its a bad choice, its just unexpected.

WTF? How could Phoenicia be in; how many kids would know a single Phoenician leader? There's even been rumors about Venice.

As for the "African" Empire, I think that's because all the African civs in Civ4 (minus Egypt, of course) have extremely obscure city names on their lists (especially the Zulu). We don't really want that for a game like this do we? I, however, still agree with the master of pho.

BTW, I'm 12 and I've heard of more Khmer kings than Phoenician or Venetian ones. I didn't know who Zara Yaqob was before BtS, though.

The E3 demo, Previews, Screenies, and PolyCast 26

Barry Caudill confirmed this in PolyCast 26 and I do agree that it is a bad pick.

It may not be for sure. An IGN preview made a mention to the Phoenicians sending a gift. And, an interview with Tim McCracken mentioned the Venetians sending the same gift (Phoenicians was probably wroungly written as Venetians). I am quite happy about this. Phoenicia would have been in Warlords if it was my pick.

Why would England be the last civ confirmed? IMHO, it's a no-brainer. Rather odd it isn't already on the list.

Yeah, I could have sworn I heard a reviewer or Sid himself mention it in an interview, too. Africa it is :(

Honestly, they might as well. At this point, they obviously don't give a ****, so they might as well stop pretending that they're trying. :p

I'm guessing they put Africa:confused: instead of the Zulu to simplify it. As I've said before, they're making this game for new people to like and I'm guessing that most new people like simpler versions. Idk though, the first Civ I played was Civ 3 which most people think is more complex than Civ IV, so idk:confused: ;)

I think they're going to name the Praetorian 'Legion' or 'Legionary', and that the Samurai UU for Japan is obvious, as well as the Jaguar Warrior. (And to a lesser excent: Conquistadors, Hoplites, Panzers and Musketeers. They are also very obvious).

Oh, and I've begun not minding Africa because of the mainstream related thingy they're doing.

when you look at history is funny tosee that US is the world super power now. (Native Americans vrs. Aztecs or Even Romans).

There is a unit called the Legion already in, but it is there are screenies that show it is neither a Roman UU nor a the unit that the Roman UU replaces.
