So, I'm pretty happy

Last night, I won my first ever cultural victory! Civ4 vanilla, no mods. I'm so proud of myself, since I've only finished a few Civ games, ever.

What difficulty and what date? It's much easier in BTS, because there are corporations, more normal wonders and Sistine gives 5 culture per state religion building. And it's better.

Congrats, I finally won a cultural victory in vanilla a few months ago.

I didn't really enjoy it though - I had to spend many turns with the culture slider on 100% which meant I could no longer research or really do anything else. Just had to sit and wait and hope no one attacked my island with my 3 main cities.
