PitBoss - Standalone... how does this work?

I used to host CivIV pitboss games quite a bit. That ran as a standalone server that was practically headless.

This new "pitboss server" is something different. Has anyone figured it out? How does one launch the boss, and play as a player? Is this possible on the same machine? What are the reqs for the host, as it seems to be actually running the game (dx and all)?

The minimum requirements for the Potboss host are the same as the minimum requirements for the DX9 version of main game.

Unfortunately, you need to host the Pitboss host on a separate computer because Civ V's game database can only run one copy of the game at a time.

Finally, the host needs to have network port 27016 open to incoming UDP traffic so that it can be seen/joined by computers outside your LAN. Check your router's manual.
