Our World: Civilizations of the Modern Age Design Discussion

Didn't the wave idea get cancelled? I think its better just to do what you can/want rather than stick to a rigid wave strategy. Either way I agree with SW - there's definitely more to do before doing Antarctica, you need quite a bit of credibility before doing a joke civ, in my mind. If CL had whipped out the pridelands day 1 or More Civs had started out with the Buccaneers, they probably wouldn't be as popular or funny.

This is pretty much it. I'm just gonna get the civs done what I want to do, and the ones that I can do. Israel is next, after that really is a mystery. I'm beholden to my friends in the modding community and, more importantly, my own schedule and motivation.

I can supply a city list for Antarctica - namely one that has every station on the list from a different country (barring a handful of countries having multiples because I saw them as too major to leave out).

Spoiler :

McMurdo (United States)
Mirny (Russia)
Amundsen-Scott (Also America but it's like exactly at the South Pole how could I not use this)
Villa Las Estrellas (Chile)
Esperanza (Argentina)
Rothera (United Kingdom)
Showa (Japan)
Dumont D'Urville (France)
Carlini (also Argentina - not sure why exactly I had this on my list ^^;)
Zucchelli (Italy)
Scott (New Zealand)
SANAE (South Africa)
Davis (Australia)
Maitri (India)
King Sejong (South Korea)
Artigas (Uruguay)
Neumayer (Germany)
Great Wall (China)
Arctowski (Poland)
Ferraz (Brazil)
Troll (Norway)
Machu Picchu (Peru)
Vernadsky (Sweden)
Maldonado (Ecuador)
Nordenskiöld (sorta Finland, should maybe instead be Aboa but this is what I have for some reason)
Princess Elisabeth (Belgium)
Ohridski (Bulgaria)
Gabriel de Castilla (Spain)
Law-Racoviță (Romania)
Jinnah (Pakistan)

Really cool city list. I had no idea there were so many nations down there.

I was surprised too!

The Czech Republic also has the Mendel Station which isn't on there for...some...reason. what resource did i even use for this list that I have two argentinas but no czech republic

Australia owns the most Antarctic territory but is only 13th on the city list? Outrageous I say!

Israel! :D
(And Iran )

I'd love to see UAE be next

I think its best to do this by areas. Middle east, than south america?
(This way, well end up having nice packs, like JFD :D)

Or just do the civs, jesus, no need to overcomplicate things by creating a schedule or restrictions on what you can and can't release at certain times aha
