GPuzzle's Civs

I'll probably just use the Vanilla Rome E&D for now, and when the time is right I'll actually come up with some good ideas and implement them.
 
So I'm having a few troubles...

Initially, it was working, but the names of the UAs weren't showing. Change some things, suddenly there's a single problem on the log, but Augustus is working. Change that problem, 4 other problems appear, and now neither is working.

What the hell?

Apparently a single syntax error I cannot identify is screwing up the entire system and causing it to not work. Also, the CIV Traits support seems to have some trouble working.

Yeah, it's getting on my nerves.
 
Damnit, damnit, damnit. My Lua has a tendency to on paper be 100% correct and should work without issue.

Hop in-game, test it out - lolno.

After trying one too many times I think that I'm unable to come up with a working Lua, so I just scrapped the majority of the ideas I had. One day I'll figure out how to get the Lua working, because I seem to be failing to enable it and also seem to be unable to figure out.

Julius should be out today, and due to my inexperience with Lua it will be much simpler, and boring, then what I want it to be.

Julius Caesar

UA: Render Unto Caesar: Free Courthouse in Conquered Cities. Improvements are built 25% faster.

UU: Ballista: Base Game Ballista.

UU: Praetor: Great General replacement. Reduces the Combat Strength of enemies within 3 tiles by 15%. May be used to start a Golden Age.

Augustus Caesar:

UA: The Glory of Rome: +25% Production towards buildings already built in the Capital. +2 Production and +1 Gold from Plantations.

UU: Legion. Base game.

UB: Forum. Market replacement. Doesn't provide +1 Gold per turn - instead, provides +1 Gold per turn for every 2 Citiziens in the city.

I'll definetively go back and get the old design working as soon as I figure out how to make Lua actually work and not go "lolwut" for no reason. Right now I just want to release this Civ.
 
Ok, so I've reached the point of mental ******ation as I was telling the SDK to go InGameUIAddin and searching the Lua files rather than the opposite.

It's all good, back to the old design.
 
If you don't mind me saying... Those designs look terribly Boring in my opinion. No offence...
(Shouldn't a unique swordsman capable of building improvements be in the design with the "build improvement faster" design? And that plantation thing has nothing to do with the rest of the design...)
 
It was scrapped because I finally figured out my stupidity with Lua.

Right now, as it stands:

UA: Render Unto Caesar: Capturing an enemy Capital triggers a Golden Age. During Golden Ages, cities suffer no Occupied Unhappiness.

UU: Praetor: Great General replacement. When Garrisoned on a city, Golden Ages are 10% longer.

UU: Ballista: Same as main game.

UA: The Glory of Rome: +25% Production towards Buildings already built in the Capital. +2 Production and +1 Gold from Plantations.

UU: Legion: Same as main game.

UB: Forum: Market replacement. Doesn't provide +1 Gold per turn - instead, provides +1 Gold per turn for every 2 Citiziens in the city.

Yes, it's terribly boring according to you. I'll probably revisit it at some point in the future.
