Its our 7th season of multiplayer Civilization Let's Plays. This game features Rich, Justin, Miles and myself in a multi-perspective 4 person free for all game on a small Terra map. We hope you enjoy it!

Note: I'll be removing the stat tables from the forums for now until I can get a good replacement option. The stats are still being recorded and there is a more permanent option on my website coming soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Episode 38: Miles and his Money!

Welcome to the grand finale of our Civ V series!

Miles is the predominant favorite at this point to win the whole thing. His huge supply of money and constant top 2 finishes in world leader votes have given him the minimum number to win a Diplomatic victory on his own!

However, Justin is doing his best to sabotage the vote and continue on the path of cultural dominance. He had surpassed the Americans and Chinese with tourism long ago, but the massive culture that the Japanese had was his last barrier. With the Japanese effectively crippled, the Roman Cultural victory just might be in reach!

Of course, Rich might decide to take a victory for himself. His technological advancement has allowed him to develop the fearsome X-Com squads and has been using them to chase down the remaining Japanese cities with great success. It wouldn't take much to have these squads make a lightning strike against the capitals of China and Rome and take a domination victory all to himself!

JJ's sad Japan is the only civ without a victory condition in sight. Having been exiled from the main continent and without their capital, the country has fallen from grace. Their only purpose now is to cause havoc, and so a secret project begins in the bowels of Undercity. American X-Com squads are at the city gates. Will Japan be able to fire their super weapon in time?

Episode 1 - Horde Have Been Found

Nine2Five Studios heads back to Civilization 5 Brave New World! Rich, Miles, Justin, and JJ start to create a somewhat Azeroth themed game (even though JJ knows nothing of World of Warcraft). Things get interesting in this episode right off the bat when Rich and JJ turn out to be neighbors in the East.

Justin still needs to learn some tips since its been a while since he's had to make some development decisions. He'll have some time with his civ placement in the northwest tip. Miles is also on the west side of the continent and have front row seats to any alliance/horde conflicts.

Episode 2 - Purple Monkey Sin'Dorei

The Alliance and Horde are at war in 2140 BC in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

Rich and JJ are fighting over the Cerro de Potosi in the middle of the map. A river (that you should name in the comments below!) divides the two rivals and neither seem to gain much advantage in crossing it. The Horde get their first and setup Silvermoon City and dig in for a protracted assault.

In the west, Miles and Justin get to watch the blood bath from afar while they develop their civilizations. However, barbarians continue to give them problems. The Chinese Pandarians seem to be able to take everything in stride however, and continue to expand outwards

The group also talks about the upcoming Civ VI features and changes. JJ talks about how strategy games that are letting him down.

Episode 3 - Permanent War

There shall be no peace yet in the Horde and Alliance wars in this episode of Civ 5 multiplayer.

The Japanese Horde continues to defend Silvermoon City from the American Alliance. Rich tries to grow his alliance by encouraging Miles and Justin to join up against the Horde.

But the Chinese and Romans are taking advantage of the lack of conflict, aside from the occasional barbarian. Rich sniping the Great Library from Justin didn't help matters either. Justin's second city almost doesn't get founded as the settler sits for a turn next to a barbarian. Miles is enjoying peacetime by being at the top of the scoreboard.

I like how you put all these infos(i guess you guys don't care to share infos! :p)

Soldiers are missing though...

Can we have a picture of demos?

Hey Tabarnak, thanks for reading (and watching?!) the series! Edit: Of course you're watching, just remembered your tips comment!

I'll try and get some screenshots going. I've been meaning to do that but the video editing keeps me focused and I forget to take the snapshots!

The info that I'm posting is actually out of date in comparison to where the game is actually at. We are at least 150 turns removed from this last episode.

Soldiers are a bit harder to track. Its hard to see every time a military unit is created and destroyed. I'll have to rely on screenshots to convey the status of everyone's military.

Episode 4: Panda Planet

The Cerro de Potosi is stolen in this episode of Civilization 5 mp!

The Alliance's initial force has had to pull back with the Horde Japanese having crossed the river and pushing to Ironforge on the northern end of the continent. Once again, the offensive is stymied as the terrain is not as favorable. Finally, the Horde and Alliance finally sign a peace deal ending a conflict that has lasted for millennia. But all goes according to Rich's plans...

Justin and Miles open up diplomatic relations with everyone as the neutral observers of the game so far. Rich tries his best to get other empires in the war effort but is frustrated by the Roman neutrality.

Episode 5: Went with Nothing

The Cerro de Potosi has been stolen in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

Rich capitalizes on JJ's want of peace and places a citadel in the north of Cerro de Potosi, claiming the territory! Rich didn't claim the city so he's turned his army west towards the city state of Ragusa.

JJ now has to deal with Silvermoon City without the cash infusion of the famous mountain in the North. With a peace treaty in place, there's only development with the Japanese being unhappy and poor. Perhaps things will turn around with the advent of the Totemist religion.

Justin and Miles continue to cooperate in the western side of civilization, attempting to destroy barbarians to secure trade caravans. Justin's trireme has gone exploring and found new lands in the north.

All the wonders being built are on the eastern side of the continent, with Rich building the Terracotta Army and the Colossus being built by JJ.

Episode 6: Miles Been Practicing?

Rich is rejected in this episode of multiplayer Civ!

Rich ends his attempted take over of Ragusa after his army suffers significant losses. He goes back to the original lines and attempts to resurrect and update his military with the Horde on his southern border.

Miles, without much worry of neighbors except for an occasional barbarian, decides to move against the city-state of Kathmandu. His forces, despite being less in number, look as if it will be just enough to take the city-state.

Justin commits more to his religion, Magic. He gets a second Great Prophet to enhance his religion and is beginning to spread the religion to the continent. Justin seems committed to remaining neutral in any conflict, and everything else.

JJ continues to build up his army as fast as possible. With a tech lead, he should get better tech faster, but the river separating the American Alliance and the Japanese Horde is going to get crowded fast.

Episode 7: A Poopy Tale...

Miles completes his conquest of Kathmandu in this episode of Civ V Multiplayer!

With all the conflict in the world so far, it was surprising that Miles is the only one to take a city, Kathmandu. Miles also has completed some wonder construction as well with the Statue of Zeus. Miles still has some issues with barbarians, but for the most part he and Justin are secure on their side of the continent.

Rich and the American Alliance continue their build up of military forces, adding the defensive Great Wall wonder to protect their at risk city, Ironforge. The Americans also add the Hanging Gardens in an attempt to shore up the development of their civilization.

Justin continues their slow progress up the ladder with the construction of their own wonders, Pyramids, and the National College.

JJ tries to shore up relations with neighbors by offering open borders with Miles to rescue his trapped archers, but the Chinese refuse, remaining untrustworthy of JJ's overtures.

Episode 8: That's My Mountain!

Japan builds Machu Pichu on the wrong mountain on this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

Rich takes offense that the Japanese city of Silvermoon City built the Machu Pichu on the contested Cerro de Potsi. Questions are rising about how the workers crossed the border to build such a wonder.

JJ figures out how Rich is planning to take Silvermoon City. His Great Wall is blocking out the sun, leading to a very severe Vitamin D deficiency.

Miles still hasn't forgiven JJ on some past poor teachings. Rich frees the Chinese archer that has been stuck for centuries, despite the fact that the Japanese offered the same deal several turns ago. Miles is still shooting ahead in this game, completing the Parthenon and starting to get cultural great people first.

What did the Panda say?

Episode 9: How I Missed You

Rich wants a redo button in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

Justin's barbarian problem continues. The encampments have been cleared for the most part between Justin and Miles, but there are some encampments overseas to deal with.

Rich laments his current position and gives a recap of his moves thus far after looking back at the tape. Moving his settler one space seems to have lost him the race for Silvermoon City. Rich hopes for support at some point from the two players to the west. In the meantime, nothing but sadness.

Miles sets up his fourth city, the first country to do so. He continues to expand with no challenges in the area.

JJ establishes his samurai warriors and is arming his side of the border. Rich is doing the same. The river separating the two might turn red again soon!

Episode 10: Spreading the Magic

Justin is ready to spread Magic throughout the known world in this episode of Civ multiplayer.

Justin gets his first Great Engineer and creates the Borobudur and Angkor Wat to assist in his efforts to spread Magic throughout the known world. He also sets up his third city on the continent and looks to start building up his presence in the region and Magic throughout the world.

Miles is working on his voice acting skills with the extra time he's been given. Miles also snipes the Notre Dame wonder from JJ. He and Justin continue to enjoy the peace in their side of the world.

Rich realizes how far back he is in technology through the trading screen and it only adds to his disappointment. The sadness is real with Rich and he can't wait for Civ VI to come out so he can start over.

JJ and his bad spelling is realizing that the diplomatic vote in the end of the game won't go his way. He's going to need to take matters into his own hand if he wants to win unilaterally. It might help if he spelled things correctly.

Episode 11: This Land is Called...

Rich and JJ need a name for the river dividing them in this episode of Civ V multiplayer.

Rich continues to look for ways to disqualify JJ's empire from the lead. The border between the two empires continues to become more militarized but there's no conflict yet to make the river run red between them.

Justin's Magic religion is continuing to spread throughout the land. Japan sends their Totemist missionaries to counter Justin's progress. Justin was not too happy with a Totemist missionary in the Violet Citadel.

Miles and JJ have been exploring more and more of the world. The Japanese caravel is the first to discover the New World and immediately moves to colonize. Miles is close behind with his navy. Meanwhile, Justin and Rich have significant islands to the north to colonies.

Episode 12: Lost Cause

The Age of Colonization is underway in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

JJ settles a new city in the New World while Miles is close behind with his settler crossing the ocean from the other side of the world. Justin claims the island to his north. Rich has also claimed his island to the north.

The 1st Conference of Ogrimmar is starting up, with the World Fair and setting the World Religion to Magic as the first proposals from Japan and Rome. The first espionage actions are also occurring. Rome's spy is one of the first to get killed by Japan.

The river between the Japanese Horde and the American alliance is almost fully saturated with units at this point. At some point there's going to have to be a war in order to put new units out.

Episode 13: Must Defend the Pandas

Tensions are high in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

Miles is on the way to becoming the 2nd empire to colonize the new world. The Chinese Panda nation keeps on expanding at a pace faster than any other nation.

Finally the war everyone expects finally happen but it doesn't involve the parties people were thinking. Japan's troops have shifted to the West.

Episode 14: Hate Everything About You

The hatred for the Japanese Horde is real in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

JJ has declared war against Miles in an attempt to take the Chinese city of Townlong Steps. To the Japanese, it looked like a softer target in comparison to the militarized zone with the Americans in the north. As a result of the military actions, the Japanese get a Great General and with the resulting citadel placement, reclaim the Cerro de Potosi!

However, Miles has proved to be a bigger thorn in the Japanese side than what was expected, possible due to the aid of having 4,000 gold stored in bank. Townlong Steps puts up just enough resistance.

Rich enters the war soon after and the militarized zone and the River of Blood turns red again. This immediately stopped any Japanese reinforcements from entering into the Chinese offensive.

Justin attempts to help Miles through trading, but "accidentally" takes all of the luxury items in the deal and putting the Chinese into unhappiness. The Americans would prefer a more military solution, but the Roman military isn't quite up to modern standards.

PSA: Remember to turn off auto-unit cycle! Especially with multiplayer games!

Episode 15: Sun Will Come Out?

The world is consumed in a world war in this episode of Civ 5 multiplayer!

The American Alliance and Chinese Pandas have turned the tide on the invading Japanese Horde. The attack force threatening Townlong Steps has been destroyed and the line separating the Americans and Japanese has been pushed south.

The Japanese are now hoping for a draw at this point. JJ is unsure if he can take cities in either China or America without drawing too many forces from the front lines. Japan's only hope is that Silvermoon City stays well defended and that the opposition remain unable to bring their forces together.

In the remote northwest of the continent, Justin continues to hang out. Aside from token trade details to keep the Chinese to the south well funded, there isn't much going on so far.

Episode 16: Honor to Famiry!

The World War continues in this episode of Civ 5 multiplayer!

Miles and Rich continue their defensive war against JJ's Japanese forces. In the west, the Japanese offensive has hit the wall and been destroyed. Miles goes on the counter-offensive, but the bottleneck in Manila prevents Chinese forces from breaking through.

In the North, casualties have been racking up for both sides, but the front stays along the increasingly fortified river and Cerro de Potosi. Both sides are lacking in military units that can move fast enough to disable the citadels.

Justin remains the only civilization without war. The Romans are quietly building up their cultural presence in the world, hopeful that everyone else remains oblivious to their build up.

Episode 17: Nine2Five Dystopia

Centuries of war are destroying the landscape in this episode of Civ V multiplayer!

For all the war and casualties, there doesn't seem to be much movement on any front. Japanese superiority in technology coupled with wounded units fighting at full strength is holding up both lines for now. America has tried to focus on getting unit tech superiority and better quality units, but Japan can keep pace and has an extra city to outproduce units.

Manila continues to halt any Chinese expansion into Japanese territory in the West. The narrow chokepoints are making it too easy for Japan to defend.

Justin seems to be utterly disconnected from the affairs of the world and engaging in more meta-physical activities. Physical things like money they are willing to give away to fund China and America. More devastating are the votes of that Rome will contribute to embargoing the Japanese.
