Given the first opportunity Russian peasants have been seen running into the woods, deserting their villages. Even the brutal Russian guards could not control the exodus.
Only in the capital where the landed gentry were holed up could the Russian forces keep the peasants in line.
No doubt they will desert at the first opportunity.

These Russians sure do put up a fight, we're glad we took care of them before they became strong enough to invade England, which they surely would have done at some point.
"Godspeed!" called the gate guard, as the lone Bremerton Horseman rode out the gate.
The Horseman focused only on the orange-clad Knight flaunting his stature just this side of what used to be the Russian capital city of Moscow. Armed only with sword and helmet, the veteran Horseman leaned into his steed as he flew down the road along Russian River. As the road left the river and broke North, so did he, eye-balling what would soon be his prey.
As he drew close, the Russian saw that the Englishman was alone. Strange, but convenient. Usually these dogs ran in packs. So much the better. He raced straight at the Englishman, who faltered momentarily before drawing his sword. Blood flew and Horses cried out seemingly for the last time to their riders.
As the Russian hit the ground, he looked up at his severely wounded foe. He knew he had almost killed him. "Next time..." he swore with his last dying breath.
Northwest of Bremerton ~
Russian Horseman 4/4 vs English Knight 2/5 = English Knight 1/5
The brave English knights looks down on the young dying Russian horseman. and shakes his head. A brave if futile effort, we shall bury you with honours, and pray that your actions will act as a warning to other foolhardy Russian fanatics.
