I'll tell you something, aside from truly "unique" resources on the non-starter land-mass, this map script would be helped by (a) City State Quests asking you to find/found new trade routes across the Ocean, (b) much more aggressive City-States & barbarians (leading to more destroyed Barb Camps & Cities, hence new archaeological dig sites), (c) City-State Quests asking for you to seek out specific new Natural Wonders & City States that are rumoured to exist across the ocean.
