Saves are now available for Conquest 05: Inca

Saves area available from the download page here.

Please take note: The Predator class obstacles have been changed marginally from what I originally posted this morning. AI free unit support is only increased to monarch level, not emperor. The starting units remain as previously posted.

GOTM 03?

You concentrated too much on the game! :P
Its like when the makers put an intentional flaw into a rug to spare the wrath of Allah! Or in this case, an intentional mistake to ward-off other big mistakes. ;)

Actually, I completely overlooked it, and by the looks of that I missed it last month too  - thanks!

One little mistake by ainwood is no mistake.

Two little mistakes by ainwood is still no mistake. (for a normal person it would be one too many) :)

Three little mistakes.....

And so on.

I think I will play this month...and even submit.

I think I will play this month - for the first time ever. I am just going to read up on the rules, how to submit and all of that before I begin, but I am pretty sure I will submit. I have yet to do a game with a large score on this level, even though I have won it many times. I think it will be fun and it will also be my first game with the inca.

Edit: already screwed up - and ironically - it was because I forgot to save at the specified dates.

Since I also had a barb kill a settler, I think I was beaten off the top 200 list for this game :p

Well there is always next time :)

I'm downloading the game right now and i will send.

In COTM 04 i've played so bad that I didn't send the file...

But this time will be different! :)

Now you've got me paranoid. What are the specified dates? This is my first GOTM/COTM and I'd rather not blow it by doing something stupid. I'll do plenty of stupid in-game stuff I'm sure, so I don't need to compound my errors. ;)

Well, you are supposed to save at specific years (2000bc, 1ad....-see gotm website for details). It was a bit late when I edited the post, so I mixed up some words and used date instead of year. Sorry about that. So basically what I did wrong was that I forgot to save at 2000BC...
I figured since this was my first cotm game, it would be more likely for the staff to check my submission, so not having the saves ready for possible investigation would be a bit...well....stupid.

Just try to keep some saves from intermediate points in your game. Most people play the game in a few sessions rather than going at it flat out for 5000 years. Taking a break to think at key points is a valuable habit to get into, and it's wise to save at these points in case your computer crashes, even if you aren't quitting the game.

Don't worry if you miss a specified save date, and as grs says, if you play to the rules and don't submit a suspicous game, it's unlikely we'll ask for your intermdiate saves.

Did I play the whole game as expansionist trait only?

No. We are *definitely* agricultural. Which version is that? Mine shows it correctly. It looks like yours is cutting off the agricultural (looks like you can just see the tops of the letters.)

@ AlanH, Sorry but thank for fixing the picture.

@ Grogs, I just down load Civ Assist last week so it's most likely the latest version.
I think I was playing the "Open Class" with the latest patch.

Look at it closely; the tops of the letters in "Agricultural" are visible under "Expansionist." I bet the text box in CivAssist just isn't big enough to handle "Expansionist, Agricultural," which is one letter longer than "Expansionist, Industrious," the Americans, who, before Conquests, had the most letters in their traits. Just a bug in CivAssist, not in the game.
