EDIT July 5, 2005: I made my own smiley set including for all the Conquests at
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=122958.
Now updated for Conquests!
I am spoiled to having these little mood badge smileys. Civ3 Conquests adds specialists, so the original smiley PopHeads won't work with Conquests. I decided to make the mod myself since no one else has yet. I found it surprisingly easy. The Conquests PopHeads.pcx is only taller by 50 pixels, all the original heads are the same and in the same positions, so all I had to do was carefully paste EvanCiv's PopHeads into the new Conquests PopHeads.
I even blantantly modified his ReadMe.txt with the new folder info and kept the old screenshot in the zip. But I acknowledge that this is other people's work that I've cut and pasted.
Here ya go:
C3Cmoodbadge15x15simplesmiley.zip (221K zip)
(The file was too big to attach, so there's no download counter. Sorry.)
See above for screenshot. Use the version in EvanCiv's post above for vanilla Civ3 or PTW.
EDIT March 3 2005: This works for the "epic" game, but it appears the "Conquests" scenarios have their own popheads.pcx files. You *could* copy this c3c popheads file into the individual conquests folders and have it work, *but* it might mess up the ethnic or era feel of the scenario. The conquests popheads appear to be the same people, but for example in Mesoamerica everyone is native american, and in other conquests the people never look industrial or modern. So if you copied the smiley popheads into the conquests folder you'll get europeans and asians in Mesoamerica and modern citizens where they should be middle ages. Several of the conquests share popheads files, but none use the stock C3C epic pophead file (as compared by md5 signature): Sengoku has unique popheads; Mesoamerica has unique popheads; Napoleonic Europe and WWII in Pacific have identical popheads; 7 conquests have identical popheads: Age of Discovery, Ancient Treasures, Fall of Rome, Mesopotamia, Middle Ages, Rise of Rome and The Three Sisters.
