Wonder Graphcs: Three Gorges Dam (China)

God Dam! A was thinking I've done so few modern buildings, that it's about time to make one. So, this one is so modern that it hasn't even been built yet, it's supposed to be ready in 2009. Work was started 10 years back. When ready, it will put out 18.2 million Kilowatts. In comparison Hoover Dam produces 2.08 million kilowatts.

I'll probably do soon Egyptian Aswan and Brazilian/Paraguyan Itaipu, which is I believe the most powerful dam at the moment.

I'll use it is a modern version of Hoover Dam.

Great Idea.

Edit: Maybe consider Hydro Quebec's James Bay (La Grande Complex) , it is currently the World's largest hydroelectric complex with a capacity of over 15 million Kilowatts.

Yeah!! Don't forget "Baie James" complex. And also the big Manic complex, but i think that Baie James is bigger. This is our nation pride!

Nice. Too bad civ 3 doesn't have realistic rivers. Wouldn't it be nice to actually be able to dam off a river and create a lake? It would have many uses.

A great modern wonder. If you are into it, a while back there was an artical in Popular Science mag. about a proposed bridge across the Bearing Strait. A large modern bridge would be great.

Yeah, it would be great to have channels, tunnels, passes and bridges in Civ3. But no such luck.

Bridge would be great but the main reason why bridges are built isn't there in civ3. Different situation than with bridges like Golden Gate etc which are in the city. Perhaps I'll do LM Bridge graphics to be used in custom made maps, maybe it will work somehow.
