Excellent unit, my only question is that the hole in the parachute is a lot bigger in the shadow than on the actual parachute!

Yeah, I have no idea but I think in the game it will not be that big a prob ;)

Excellent :D

Side question... Did the Japanese make much use of Paratroopers in WW2? I don't believe I've ever heard them mentioned. Maybe I'm just forgetting something though.

You should make a Russian Paratrooper... maybe an early one without a parachute! Just have him falling from the sky and hitting the ground, then picking himself up again. Give it rubbish range though because they wouldn't be able to fly too high.

Well, early in the war the japanese did make some use of paratroops to land troops on small islands where a landing strip was not available. Ships were easier but slower, and there was no real way to recover these troops without thier use, so once the japanese navy was beaten many of these troops were left on barely habitable islands for the rest of the war.

Many were killed and eaten by canibals.

Of course this is Civ, so although the japanese didn't take full advantage of paratroops in real life, its asumed that the player in a pacific war scenario would like to try out the idea.

BTW; exelent units as always bebro! :)

nice unit i love it and cant wait for the rest

I hope you'll make British, American and German paras too... :)

:king: Bebro,

i appreciate your WW2 infantry series, its like the guys from Revell in 1/72. I wonder if the British Paratroopers will come with a Sten 9mm in their hands. And yes, we need russians.

Have you thought over a modern infantry series ??? :p

Yes :)

Yes, although it will take a loooong while beofre I'm finally able to release something here, since I still have to do some other stuff before. A while ago I posted a preview of a KSK guy, but there were also some problems with the camo pattern. Didn't have time to work on it since then.

To be honest I didn't know much about them either before I made this unit. But Smoking Mirror has answered it perfectly....;)

Italian para is finished and can be dl-ed from the first post. :)

Bebro, as usual... when you deliver, you deliver! Glad you are making these... :)

The Italian para looks good! :) I've heard of Japanese paras, but i've never heard of Italian paras...

Little update for the Italian: I forgot to include the fortify anim (it was already specified in the ini file), but it is now attached in the first post. Simply move it into the unit's folder after unzipping ;)
