The few remaining British troops surrender !

"Puma" is the name/type of one chopper mostly commonly used by Argentinia at the time of the war.

It is for Conquests, patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

I will play Argentinia in this one.

Argentinia : Loulong
England : Aksully

Players : 2

SPECIAL RULES AND OPTIONS

Razing is not allowed since there are no settlers.
This is mostly a test PBEM.
Ship stacks limited to 5.

I play a lot of civ, but I have never done a PBEM. You said experienced player, so if you don't want to play with me, that's fine. Otherwise, count me in.

Actually by expereinced I hereby mean especially experienced with the scenario.

Have you tried it/played it ? You need to download/install it first.

Otherwise as I am not flooded with volunteers I definitely accept your proposition. Send me a PM with your e-mail. You can also say what level you prefer playing at (not that it will make much of a difference in this very scenario).

We will use version 1.1.

I haven't download it yet but I would like to try one PBEM with Argentina. I am already committed (but not started) another PBEM where I'll be England so it would be interesting to see the 'other side' (and get ideas from different players).

I don't know if I qualify as 'experienced', but I am not a newbie!

NOTE: later I've actually read the other messages, so I guess this game is full! :(

You can still sign in for Hermes where Argentinia is the "free" civ (see the other thread).

With whom are you gonna play the other one ? Aksully ?

Loulong...just want to confirm that in the MP that I will load the england1.1 version to set up our PBEM? And in MP the British first turn is frozen correct?

#10 Downing Street The PM invited Defence Minister John Nott to discuss the situation in the Falkland Islands. Officials concede that the situation is "teneous", but a peacefull outcome is most likely expected.

Loulong...a comment and question as the British Fleet assembles....

1)The Civopedia entry for Leander Class Frigates says it has a Transport capacity of 1. Yet i'm unable to load any type of ground unit onto it.

2) Am I able to load Infantry type units onto helicopters in the British Isles and have them fly to the Falklands and off load their troops after "x" number of moves? Or are helos suppose to be loaded onto Carriers or Transport ships, brought to a point within range, then load and transport troops to their distance max range?

Thanks!

#11 Downing Street; The PM and the Cabinent reluctantly annouce that the Falkland Islands have been captured despite every form of diplomacy to prevent such an occurrence. Preparations are being made to retake the isles!

1) guess I made it to carry helis. Will check.

2) yes, normally you can do that.

Argentinians are starting to organize defenses for the civilians of the Malvinas who have decided to join Argentinia.

Loulong, My main computer has crashed..have limited access for the moment. Would like to put our game on hold so that I can use the time to see if I can recover from this crash. WOuld that be ok with you?? I dearly want to finish our game but realistically I might not be able get things fixed before the middle of next week. Let me know. Thanks!

Hi LouLong, Well I am almost recovered from my computer failure a week ago. Apparently the major MS security patch was being downloaded while I was watching baseball on my computer and the demand for memory was exceeded despite having 2 gigs of memory!!! The download thus froze and I was unable to free things up with Ctrl Alt Del. So I did a hard shut down. Which apparently toasted my registry. I just got my Restore disks from HP and have had to do an entire HD Reformat. So I'm in the process of reloading my software. Will be working on Civ3 next and hope to be back playing shortly. Appreciate everyone's patience. I will be posting this in the seveal game threads I'm currently playing. Thanks!
Should be able to send you the save NLT tomorrow LouLong. Again thanks for your patience! I am really looking forward to the upcoming action!

#11 Downing St The PM continues to communicate with the Argentina Junta for a peaceful resolution to the situation. The British Government requests that Argentina forces release the British residents.
