Europa Universalis 3 conversions

And right after my Art of Supremacy pack, which, frankly, I didn't like much since the buildings there are mostly ill-suited for use in Civ 4, I am delighted to give you a lot of buildings converted from Europa Universalis 3.

The good thing about EU3 is that it has a province cityscape, which displays all the buildings you've constructed in that province. The better thing about these buildings is that they are, in terms of model complexity and texture sizes, almost ideally suited for use in Civ 4. The excellent thing about them is that every major culture has its own set, so you can expect 8 packs of buildings for different cultures, each with the same 12 culture-flavored buildings, and another pack of miscellaneous buildings.

All of those packs will be posted here in this thread. For the first one, I chose Western Europe, so you can get a feel for the structure of all the other packs - all packs will contain the same buildings.

Most of the buildings are pretty self-descriptive and can be used right out of the pack. Walls though are not in ready-to-use-in Civ4 form, just a bit of walls with a tower. It wouldn't be too hard for someone with Blender to cut the model up and produce walls in Civ4 format, but I didn't do that. Shipyards are mostly sailless/unfinished boats without an actual building.

So, without further ado, here's the Western European pack:

Glad you like them! I know I like them a lot myself, we used many of them in RI. Today's second pack is dedicated to Eastern Europe, which in EU3 terms means mostly Russia (though some buildings could also be used for other Eastern European nations like Poland). The temple is, of course, Russian Orthodox and isn't suited for Catholic/Protestant countries of Eastern Europe.

And another pack to follow, this one African. It fits best for countries of Western Africa, such as Mali, but in EU3 is used for all of Subsaharan Africa.

All right, here's the fourth pack, and we're not even halfway through. This one is intended for Far East. As far as I can say, it is mostly based on Chinese architecture, but it works reasonably well for other peoples in the region.

And we're moving on to the fifth pack. This one is dedicated to Indian subcontinent; I think most of these buildings also wouldn't be very out-of-place in Southeast Asia. Anyway, these are among my favorite, especially since, compared to, say, European or Middle Eastern or Far Eastern, Indian architecture (especially non-religious) is relatively uncommon on CFC.

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm very glad I could bring these buildings at the disposal of Civ modding community. Today's pack is for Muslim Arabic-influenced countries, spanning from North Africa to Middle East to Central Asia.
