Moskva Helo Carrier (09-20-06)

This is the Soviet Navy's first attempt at naval aviation, the Moskva class helicopter carrier. It was the Soviet's response to the USN's Polaris ballastic missile submarines. I intended to use this to carry helos in Civ3. Mark this with carry aircraft and carry tactical missile flags. Mark a helo unit with the tactical missile flag and give it a bombard. Also, give the helo very low defense and attack, and the see invisible flag. I have had some success with the Civ3 AI actually using it against my subs.

Excellent unit; nice approach to making it carry helos only. It's also nice to know that the AI might actually use it.

to those who didn't understand my last comment: If only I would get an Euro everytime I make a fantasy unit, and someone asks/complains/whatever that why am I not making any real life units... well, you got the picture, right?

When I saw the ship first I thougt: wow this lady has quite a big back

No, I just get a kick out of making people squint to see my animations. Of course it's to scale. How many times do I have to tell people that I strive to have uniform scale in my animations.

I am glad he isn't - I am still trying to figure out how to merge your Monsters into an epic scenario :lol:

Reality bites- at least this unit looks like it will deliver quite a punch against the imperialist submarine threat. Times look great for the Soviet Navy - Thank you, yet once again for a wonderfully designed and animated key sea unit

Excellent unit, mate! Your Grand Fleet continues to swell, and I may mention it to Jackie Fisher next time we meet at Scapa.
A great contribution to the ongoing Soviet surface fleet, and all the more kudos for the concept that allows it to work.

Seriously though, I have to figure out a way to add this unit into El Justo's TCW scenario. It will be a perfect addition to the Soviet Navy and possibly a great way to counter the UK/US hegemony over carrier warfare!
