4000 BC
With LK136 having nearby ivory, can we get lucky a second time?
I start on a warrior and fishing, as we have three seafood tiles in the BFC.

2975 BC
We have a third civ on this continent - Brennus.

2525 BC
Add the Native Americans to the list of civs.

New Updates
There is no question that copper will be city #2. It is food light with only having cattle on a plains tile. Because of this I prefer pink dot. I am open to discussions pushing for blue dot. I don't want to talk about rice and clams as site number two, as I am a big fan of ASAP metal.

Remember 15 peace (including phony wars) / 10 heavy war turns per round. STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 hours to complete.

Win target: open.

Planned wars - none.

Standard LK house rules:
1) Worker automation is prohibited.

2) A go to order is only allowed if you turn summary warns that it is happening and explains why. Sometimes it is just too important to make sure those reinforcements don't get sent to the wrong place.

3) Please complete your turn. At most the next player should have one unmoved unit such as a settler where you are unsure of its direction. A stack that is fortified counts as completed. The game should be sitting ready to hit end of turn with very little left to move.

4) Don't edit your game results into a previous post. There is no notification of new activity. I have had SGs stalled waiting thinking I was waiting for a person to move, when they already did.

5) The use of the auto-logger is prohibited for the body of your report. You may include it as a spoiler tag. SGs are about writing up enough information so that the team understands where you are going. The auto-logger clearly fails in this regard. Knowing the details doesn't show the big picture. SGs need the big picture.

6) SGs are about cooperative team play. If you aren't willing to discuss plans before and / or after your turn, then the LK series isn't for you.

7) Major wars shouldn't be declared without a team consensus. Clear phony wars gain diplomatic favors are ok. The phony war when you declare on an AI on another continent or a last place civ. A war of opportunity to grab one or two cities from an AI getting trashed is OK. Going after the #1 civ unplanned is what I want to stop.

8) If you disagree with a dot map plan, discuss *before* playing you turn.

9) Putting GP asleep is prohibited. Please use any GP ASAP using your best judgment. If you are unsure, please ask for another opinion, or hand the game over early.

10) I reserve the right to refuse players whom IMHO failed to play in the spirit of cooperation. Declaring an unexpected major war is a high risk that you will go on this list. Excessive personal attacks against other players guarantee a ban from the LK series.

I realize rule 10 is a bit harsh, but I can tell too much infighting will put the LK series back on hold.

I prefer blue dot as it will get lake tile. That's 3 food after lighthouse. We can also farm that forest grassland tile.

Interesting map btw. :)

Got it. I also think blue dot is better (lake, more hammers, and one land tile extra), but I will wait a bit for more opinions before playing.

I missed the lake on initial look - I now support blue dot.

This is definitely a crazy map. :D

I know this is early but with copper, we should pursue for the Colossus. That would give major boost in this map.

I can't really comment on blue vs pink before looking at the save, since I can't see how it would fit in with other cities to maximise our best tiles. What I will say is that we should plan all our early cities before we settle the first one, making sure that all the BFCs are placed so that we work as much grassland as possible. For example, blue wastes a grassland that we settle on, but it may enable us to work the grass forest and lake. But I cannot see if there is food in the south to support another city that would work both of those tiles anyway.

Regarding wonders: Not being financial, working the coast seems quite bad. Therefore I would say that we should not make colossus a massive priority, but more aim for the pyramids (stone!) and great lighthouse. With our cheap libraries, hiring scientists with representation seems good.

Neither blue nor pink are massive cottage candidates however you slice the ground. If you are looking for "metals ASAP" then the hill SE of the copper delivers that and the most green space, leaving space for pink as a later fishing ville or beach resort.

Makes sense. But I don't think we can really avoid working water tiles in his map :p

I have a feeling that we will have to go to war early to get enough land on this map.

Here is the known world and the resources, and my attempt at a dot map. Bede suggested settling 1SE of bronze, but it is hard to share the small space for two cities, so I think this means giving up the cow tile, which isn't very good. I went with 1N of the bronze instead. The blue dot is a bit unconventional, but this position makes use of the grassland south of the lake. A more normal location would be 1SE to get fish and more grassland. Of course the land may be taken by the time we have settled the red and yellow dots.

Is everybody fine with settling 1N of bronze? Unless there is disagreement I will play tomorrow.

I agree with red and yellow dots but I hate settling on gold tile. Blue dot should go 1 SE and be our city #3 if possible.

I agree with this.

It looks like there are a ton of islands out there. We really need to get a ship out exploring.

The Great Lighthouse would be great on this map. It tends to fall early, so we better get sailing, a lighthouse build quickly in the capitol - our only decent production city at the moment.

I'm pretty sure that America will go for fish / gold site first. I'm thinking we should settle 1 SE of gold first. Very good blocking point and it shouldn't delay our metal too much. Capital can build 2 settlers fairly quickly.

Here we go.

I settled the bronze and gold cities, and built another workboat. We got sailing and I took writing next to speed up research (MC would have taken 54 turns!). Bronze will be mined in two turns, and we get another workboat in 3 turns. I think the workboat should go to the gold city. We urgently need more workers, but we also need a lighthouse for the Great Lighthouse. Can anyone estimate how much time we have before an AI will build it?

The scout is running out of things to explore. He is currently on a go to order to the only remaining black spot. Cancel this order if you want to.

Good job Yena. Some suggestions.

Capital: Whip worker after work boat. Then start building lighthouse and Great Lighthouse. All forests available can be chopped as they should be cottaged later anyway.

Copper city: Build at least one worker and concentrate on military after that. Should build settler for Yena's yellow dot after every city has atleast one axeman.

Gold city: Not much to do before Iron Working. Lighthouse is priority #1.

IMHO we are *already* pushing it. To be honest I didn't expect two settlers from the capitol this round. The workboat for gold is pushing it even more. I hope some of that was from chopped forest.

On this type of map the big lighthouse may fall as early as 1000 BC. I will try to work up a plan in a short while for the best odds of the GL.

I'm fine with two cities. There's not too much space available and not being boxed in beats even the Great Lighthouse. We still have good change to get it.

I never build the great lighthouse myself. hence the question. In that case I suggest moving the worker back the the capital pronto and start chopping.
