You pick the leader, civ will randomly assigned (no Rome or Inca for balance). Settings are of course flexible if anyone has preferences.

turn order
sourdiesel / Lincoln
PieceOfMind / Mehmed II
Oakster / Rameses II
Woody1 / Suryavarman II

I'll join. My leader pick: Darius I.

Time zone -5 GMT but I can play at a wide variety of times.

Does this mean that this map will be like a Terra one where we're on the old world and there's an extra continent?

Also, I prefer Normal speed (especially since this is only 4-5 players) but I can live with playing on quick speed.

Yeah just like Terra, and normal speed is fine with me. I'll be Lincoln.

Oh, my game inspired you to create another! :D

I would like to join please, if it's ok.

lol I just hosted another game thread with similar settings again before I saw this one. However this one being duel size could make it interesting! This one also sticks to the old world start.

I also don't mind whether it's quick or normal speed, but I would have thought that quick made a tiny bit more sense on duel size maps.

I'll have a think about what leader to try for this game.

Best time for me is around 1200 GMT but I'll often have my turn several hours before that when the rest of the Western world is fast asleep.

EDIT... May I humbly request that Rome (and preferably Inca) be prohibited, as their UUs make their civs broken, especially on tight maps like this.

The map size is actually Tiny, but we can change it to Duel for a little variety from other games. I agree about quick being more suitable for duel. With 4 players on a old world start it should be crowded and fun. You'll have to make the conquer versus colonize decision quite early.

So, unless DMOC has objections, I'll change the settings to Duel/Quick while we're waiting for another player or two.

Also point taken about Rome and Inca. If they come up as random civs we'll regenerate the map.

Oh, I didn't notice it was Tiny. I jumped to conclusions based on your description of the game. I don't think you need to change to Duel - Tiny is better IMO. But it's your game. For a tiny map, quick or normal speed is fine.

I will join this if I can?

Could I be Rameses II?

I am in the UK but work a strange varied 5 week shift pattern so I havent any particular times I will be available... It could be any time :D

I haven't played a duel map and am kind of excited about the idea. Duel/quick it is! :D

Welcome aboard Oakster looks like we're ready to start. I'll start the game later tonight.

I just started a job alternating 15 day & 15 night shifts. Going from working at day to night is easy, the other direction is

EDIT: There won't be many cities on a duel map. Should we use a lower difficulty level, so that cities can grow a little faster?

May I suggest the following turn order?

sourdiesel (0200)
PieceOfMind (1200)
Oakster (probably between 1200 and 2200)
DMOC (2100 to 0300)

assuming we start with sourdiesel.

Turn order looks good.

Let's get started! Remember if you get Rome or Inca we'll remake it. Good luck!

DMOC are you doing anything differently to how you'd normally load a save? As an experienced player like yourself do you have any idea why you're getting that error? Do you think it's something on Oakster's end?

-Oakster, I assume you have the patch 3.19 right? And you haven't modified any game assets? If DMOC is getting an asset error it's possible that your game has changed the asset info (I think).
