Unless my :viking: Viking workers have been doing a spot of redecoration whilst I wasn't looking I'd say there's a bug with BAT 2.1, as I'm getting a pink Academy building showing here... anyone else seeing this?

I didn't touch any of the buildings xml or textures in my fixes so I imagine this is a general BAT issue, specifically the Cultural Citystyles component. I do know that Cultural Citystyles is now at v0.85 and that BAT and VD both contain v0.80 so maybe this issue was fixed in that update. I'll have a tinker with it when I get a chance.

Missing texture file, like your pink eyelids problem?

Yeah it will definitely be a missing texture or a broken/missing reference to the texture. I've not delved into the building art side of modding much at all yet so it's not immediately obvious to me where to look.

Had this problem too - big pink academies with most civs/cultures.

Thought references to the academy had a typo, but I see that's not the case.

Actually the use of 'Academie' is correct in these instances. I just had a browse through the .fpk and a lot of the files (mostly button graphics) are indeed named with the french spelling. A search and replace would be mess it up more I'm afraid.

I'm not seeing anything obvious in the xml yet that is causing these pink academies. I'll keep looking but it's possible that it's a broken reference in one of the .nif files which is not something I know anything about at the moment.

Good to know - taking my 'fix' post down.

Thanks!

Well I upgraded my version Cultural Citystyles to 0.90 (BAT comes with 0.80). This fixed the Viking academy but the Middle East/South Asian academy is still pink, as is the Indian courthouse. I've made a post in the author's thread to let him know and see if its something easily fixed.

If any of you see any more pink buildings let me know both the Civ and the Era that you noticed it in and I'll pass it along to the author.

Xyth, how would I go about installing Cultural Citystyles 0.90?

I'm not sure I've installed/fixed it correctly as its sounding like these pink buildings are Mac only. When I figure out what's going wrong I'll either post instructions or host a version of BAT with CC upgraded and all other fixes applied.

Have *possibly* found the cause of this issue. Several textures all related to these buildings are named with a double extension '.tga.dds' despite being DDS files. The author is going to rename them and change the references in the .nif files for the next version of CC. Hopefully that fixes it but if not there's something else that's odd about these particular files that only shows up on Mac. Too much of a coincidence for these not to be the culprits.

Spanish Academy is pink. Think it was in Medieval Era, but I'd have to double check.

See the other BAT thread for a fix!

I just got to the modern era in my current BAT 2.1/BtS game as the Mayans and I'm seeing white skyscrapers in all my cities and towns. Unless this is some weird custom graphic (marble skyscrapers or something) I guess this is another bug with BAT 2.1. Has anyone else seen this yet?

Yes, I've seen the white buildings too - with the non-vanilla Polynesian civilization. Polynesian buildings look similar to the Mayan models so I imagine the problem is related, and based in the Maya textures. Just a guess.

I've passed this on to the author of CC and he's identified the particular texture file that seems to be showing white. Unfortunately the fixes we tried successfully with the pink buildings didn't work this time around. I have a very busy weekend so I probably won't get a chance to experiment on this this next week sometime.

The file is /Assets/Art/Structures/Cities/mod_meso_city3.dds if anyone feels like experimenting.
