The first post is voluntarily in English only, so everyone understand the rules clearly.
Now that the threshold of 20 demands for a French language thread has been reached in the poll, I have decided to create this thread.
The purpose of this thread is to allow people who are interested in the French language to practice their skills in French with fellow posters.
The posts can be written in French, but to abide by the rules of the forum, a translation has to be provided, in a spoiler.
The translation can also be useful to understand what you are saying if you not very confident with your French yet.
Although in theory any topic can be discussed, I think it may be interesting if the discussion have something to do with the French culture or customs, so this way you could perhaps kill two birds with one stone.
I will personnally be involved in the thread, so I can answer question about the French language, customs, etc. And I can also correct mistakes. I'll try to be a bit more careful than usual to avoid making mistakes myself.
And it also mean that if you try to sneak some swear words in your message, the moderators are likely to find out
And as a small preventing warning.... I don't think the paramount of learning another language is to start by learning how to insult someone, if you get the point...
