XML Load error-Please help

I am getting an error "XML Load Error" This is the message I am getting when I try and play the game. Failed Loading XML file assets//XML\Gameinfo/CIV4PlayerOptionsInfos.xml

Anyone have an idea of what this means and what I need to do to fix it.

This is the info about my iMac

OS 10.5.7
2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo
1GB 800mHz DDR2 SDRAM
ATI RAdeon HD 2400XT

Are you sure you have installed the game correctly? You have to move the entire Civ4 folder from the DVD onto your hard drive - usually into /Applications/.

Thank you. I uninstalled the game and the reinstalled. It works!!!! Don't know what happened, but thank you so much for responding to my post.
