Ok, everyone, here is the new StJNES, that will hopefully bring a new life to story nes's. It is very easy to mod and play.

Rules

There are hardly no rules, lol. You can do whatever you want, but there are a couple battle moves. Most of the time, I will make the call.

Battles

To fight, I merely take a a di that goes with the amount of army you are attacking with. So basically, it goes 1-6, as there are six military sizes (see below). So lets say someone is attacking with 1/4 of his Medium military (size 3, or d3). I basically take the number i roll, and divide it by 4 (1/4 of his army attacking), and then i do the same for the defense, and whatever is higher wins. Also, technology comes to play easily. If one nation has more technological advanced, I add one di level for every tech they outnumber the opponent. So a medium sized army in Bronze Age fighting a Large Stone Ages would be a even match. I determine how much land they get, and how many casualties is inflicted upon the looser and winner.

EDIT: I will roll a di ONE numbers above the norm expressed above, and if the number that is higher lands on top, it is an automatic win, so to add some chance.

To Expand

You need only say expand north, south east or west. It is most like rtor2 when it comes to expanding, jsut without provinces.

How to submit orders

You only need to state it in the thread, or send it by PM. Do not expect to upgrade army in one turn, you must continually state it. Also, everythign takes time, so be patient. We start at 4000bc, and every turn will go by 50 years, but will soon be toned down.

Many things affect your empire...

Your people may grown unrest of the government and join another nation. Your economy may be in a slump (from non varrying land), and your people will suffer and revolt. Its common sense, and I will do my best to live for every nation.

To choose your location...

Continents are numbered for now like this (until someone names them): From up to down starting on the left side, 1,2,3, then going to the right side on top, 4,5,6. The squares on the map are the only places you can start at!

Naming your Empire and land locations

Once you pick you starting positions, you must copy htis template and use it. Dont change economy or tech age, and I will choose your army and navy size according to your location ASAP.

Empire Name
Emperor or King Name
Government (only monarchy or despotism for now)
Stone Age
Continent and Location (describe)
Economy: Stagnate
Military:
Navy
Army

You may name the area you start in, and the first person to name the ocean they reach (next turn only, no one is at a ocean this turn), bays, mountain ranges (this turn you can) gets to name it. If the name is not creative or is downright stupid, i will ask you to name it again, and if you dont within 24 hours, someone else can.

Starting...

Just post! Have fun, and let the civing begin!

oh yes, and you may name your cities, and later build them yourselfs. But that comes later in the game as well, but you may name your capital now.

Jason

Heine, you cant make your own military, and you may only have despotism or monarchy for your starting government. Also, your economy is stagnate (not bad, but not good) for now.

My capital will be San Francisco.

Ok then no military and it will be king St. Olav Haraldson (it was a holy king in my homeland and I am in family with him).

Also, Uknemesis, if he chooses to play, gets one of the island nations. I forgot to ask him, and he helped me make this, but is offline now. So, you may choose one of them, but beware you may have to be relocated to the other island nation if nem wants the one you chose.
