Just got the email from its editor. It is a reality now... I am VERY happy :D

Really, this is great for me. A small victory, or a bigger victory... To my knowledge the paper is only circulating in London, although it may be expanding to other parts of the UK where Greeks live.

Edit: It is a weekly paper, selling around 7K copies each week. GREAT for a start...
 
Will you be informing them of the socio-political revolution in process within all membranes of the Greek society against its kleptocracy? The hard-working greek public, one of the hardest working people in Europe with one of the worst systems of welfare in Europe?

I hope you will and I hope your editor won't kick you out if and probably when it inspires more pathetic whack-it-take-it rampages in London or worse for them, a real revolt.
 
Although my work does refer (briefly and generally, and also as a major plot twist) to the bad situation (mostly emotional) of Greeks, it is not a political article but a short story :)

Don't be sorry, and i WISH they invite me there. But as things stand nothing of the sort has been arranged/discussed. Maybe if i publish a number of stories there, they will give me a weekly column (which would be amazing for me...) :)
 
Some more good news: i just became a member (with a publication) of the Australian-Greek literary lodge (something like the black lodge in Twin Peaks i imagine :D ). This is good news for they also have a magazine, and my work might appear in it too in the future- for the time being it will appear on their website.

Who does the translating? You? If not you, do you get to approve the translations? If not, do you approve of them?

Most of us would never be able to appreciate your writing in Greek. Please let us know when & where it becomes available in English so we can finally check your stuff out.

Yes, ultimately the overall success of my work depends on being translated, and primarily to english. It is the way it goes since there are around 20 million greek speakers (at best) worldwide, and not all of them are readers of literature, and not all of those who are will read or like my work.

Just confirmed that there will indeed be an english translation of my story, since the paper has a bilingual edition of (probably) all material. Will link to its online page when that goes up :)

Goes without saying that any problems in the english text are due to the translator and not my genius original story ;)
 
Proofread it then, you lazy slacker! ;)

I'll be happy to read it anyways.
