Not sure if I like the existence of AI civs but you know what, that's fine they're in especially if there'll only be four humans (I'd hope for more). Monarch difficulty would make the AI civs a little less rushable with their starting archer(s) if you want to make it that way.

Map size = Large? With 8 civs that seems a little spacey to me, however I do like being able to expand a bit before having the need to rush someone. Since this is multiplayer it gives more chances to spot hostilities, and there's probably more chances to find strategic resources on a bigger map?

GMT -5, Random leader is fine by me, Unrestricted leaders if you're feeling crazy

I love being semi-retired ;) I can play all these fun games.
 
Six players on standard size with no AI sounds great. Difficulty level would hardly matter then.

What's shuffle like? Uses a random mapscript from a particular set?

@ gpcii, would you prefer to go before or after me? I tend to be all over the clock...
 
Can I make a suggest to change the speed to "quick" or a bigger Advanced start points total.
 
OK, no word from Count1, so I've begun the game. The first turn is waiting for bathsheba666.

I changed the advanced start to 800 (although I only got 740?) as per kiwitt's suggestion.
