Unable to merge expansions.

Hello,

Sorry if this question has been asked before but I have looked and couldn't find it anywhere.

I bought the Brave New World expansion, already having bought the Campaign Edition 1.2.2 which includes Gods & Kings and all DLC. However, when I drag the Brave New World icon to applications, it just installs as a standalone package. So basically I can either play Campaign Edition 1.2.2 or Brave New World, not both at the same time. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I overlooking something really simple? The main thing I'm missing when I play Brave New World is all the civilizations from the Campaign Edition, not to mention all the DLC!

There shouldn't be a Brave New World icon to drag.

Who did you buy Brave New World from?

If you bought it from Apple, which is where you got your Gods and King, then it should have been an in-app purchase, and it would have installed straight into the Campaign Edition you already have.

If you bought it from Steam, or as a DVD, then it isn't compatible with your Campaign Edition. It needs the basic Civ5 from Steam.

Ah, I think that's the problem! I should have bought it from Apple, not Steam. I'll see if I can get a refund and buy it again through the Apple app store. Thank you!
