Our first foray into C3C conquests in the game of the month format was a great success, with over 180 entries. Competition was fierce, but in his first game back after a 6-month break Bremp was the comfortable winner, with a very fast 480 A.D. conquest victory.

Only 10 years and a handful of point separated Megalou and Darkness who ranked second and third respectively, both with Domination wins.

Summary of Medal Winners:

Congratulations to all award winners! :D

Iiihaaaa!!! My first distinction! That's maximum pay-off for me knowing that Bremp was unreachable. Congrats to all, especially Drazek. It seems you got your first domination award, which says something about how stiff the competition has been the past months. Your short posts about fast, amazing wins have certainly got me thinking.

I'd also like to congratulate my countryman email10, who was just 4 turns from fastest 20K.

Well done everyone. An amazingly close finish between 2nd and 7th with those quick 8th century wins. It's great to have so many entries: perhaps a warlord level game would attract even more.

Does the global ranking update have to wait until after the gotm32 results are out?

Congratulations to all the players who entered this first Conquests game!
I take it as a good sign for the future games that I've come closer to an award than I ever was (cow in this case). Special congratulations to Doc Holliday, well done! :)

Congrats to all medal winners, and to those for participating in the first COTM. Almost 200 participants. What is a single month high for participation?

Just checked AlanH's stat graphs, and GOTM19 had 244.

Incidentally AlanH, CGOTM01 doesn't appear there!

Congrats Megalou- that's a nice feather in your cap! And also Kaiser B for persevering for the SS victory you and I nearly clinched for GOTM31! Gee, and I can tell my grand kids that I actually finished ahead of DaveMcW([pimp]) 'back in the day'. I won't mention that he was probably just playing his culture 20k game during down time at work in his one-sitting win...!

Congratulations everyone! :)

EDIT:
@Ainwood: Small error correction: I had a 760 AD finish date, not 750 AD like it says in the first post in this thread. It is correct in the results table.
I suspect you accidently switched my finish date with megalou's.... ;)

No. I shall be rearranging the graphs as bars instead of columns, otherwise the image is going to get as wide as Roseanne, or the columns are going to get as thin as Ally McBeal. And I have to do some more surgery to set it up to display both games. I wanted to do them both together, and it's non-trivial.

To compare participation with prior months we should probably include everyone who plays in June, either COTM01 or GOTM32. If so we'll probably top 200. I'll try to provide a statistic for that.

Thanks, Darkness. As Ainwood's on the dark side of the globe right now I've adjusted it in his sleep ;)

OUCH! One turn from Darkness' and two turns from Megalou's domination dates. :suicide:

I am getting closer though!

Congratulations guys, and to all the other medal winners. Also, congrats to Cuivienen, my SCOTM1 teammate who was in the upper-echelon of the spaceship winners, and to Nichelle (my civ-playing GF [dance]), who finished in the top half with her first GOTM/COTM submission! :band:

Congratulations to the winners!

@a space oddity: congrats to you as well. Much closer to the cow than I was!

The histographic scores look odd to me. I thought there was no date bonus for finishing in 2050 yet scouts, space and the winners jason score exceed their in game scores. I'm probably being dumb but how is this possible?

As AlanH will attest, I thought it was odd too. I went so far as to PM him and accuse him of having something wrong with his auto upload thingy. :crazyeye:

It has something to do with whether or not the max score is greater or less than 10,000, or something like that. Maybe AlanH can 'splain it. I'm still learnin'. :D

Congratulations to Bremp , Megalou and Darkness.
Conquest victory in 480 AD! And Domination around 750AD ! It seems to me we have not play the same game! Congratulations again.
Good job for the GOTM staff because we were 185 players last month.

That makes sense. Although my prefered option is that Alans Apple Mac has had a brain fart :mischief:
