It is now May of 1940. The Soviet Invasion has driven westward to seek a continental Soviet Union. With suprising power, the Soviet Union has conquered most of Eastern Europe, and is now knocking on Berlin's door. Winston Churchill, the new Prime Minister of England, feels that the Soviet Union must be stopped before they overrun Europe with their power. He has now recieved full support from the United States, who has given England immense economic and military power. Who shall win this conflict? Allies or Soviets? Will Europe turn Red? or will Blue Europe Remain...

This is a PTW scenario, the Playable nation is Great Britain. The Scenario uses the European Terrain set that comes with PTW, so it is not included with the scenario. There were no unit name changes. And now the civilizations:

Very Playable Nations: Soviet Union, Great Britain.

More Difficult Nations: France, Spain, German Reich.

Very Difficult Nations: Italy, Greece.

Under No Circumstances: Neutral Nations, Iraq and Kuwait, Saudi Arabia.

Will there be a Green Europe next? Maybe environmentalists vs. industrialists in a technological face-off of the future? Hey, that's a good idea!

I know that was supposed to be a joke, but i like the idea.

Oh, and nice scenario.:goodjob:

Any Screenies?

I looked at both the red and the blue scenarios, and they both looked nice. I like the creative approach! :) If I were to voice some criticism, it would just be the huge number of units. It slows down play a lot, and does not reflect the historical ratio of inventory versus production.

Since you like to experiment, however, I would like to suggest another scenario, starting in July 1944. Assume that Stauffenberg managed to kill Hitler! Such a development could have been followed by a cease fire, which could explain the initial diplomatic situation.
Germany was at this time weak, but far from defeated, and might hold its own against one of its enemies, especially if one assumes that most US forces withdraw to fight Japan. Many other assumptions can be also made. Did Germany have to (at least temporarily) give up France to secure a truce with the West? Did Britain, with Hitler gone, think of maybe honoring their original pact with Poland not only with respect to German but also Soviet invasion? To make a long list short, one could have a scenario that could be played from all three sides, having a credible diplomatic ambiguity, and rather sound historical foundation.

sonuds cool, im glad people are enjoying the scenario. I might make another modification of this before i go on to more historical scenarios. The next one would probably be involving the post war.

Ive been mesiing with this alot, and i have found that the best way to fight soviet power is to use the RAF, USAF, and the Royal Navy to sieze the baltic, then you would land near Kongisberg and drive to moscow. Note: DO NOT GO TO STALINGRAD!

I dont know, i have seen that before on other posts where a post is repeated, probably some damn bug.

Nice avatar BTW, where did you get it?

the avatar is depicting sarevok from the game baldursgate II expansion "throne of Bhaal".

If your still updating you maps I'ld recommend that you move Gothenburg (Göteborg) south onto that sqare where youve placed the wheat (closer to its real position). And Maybe add Karlskrona to south-eastern sweden. Karlskrona is where sweden keeps most of its navy units hence a strategic war city.

I knew that, I was just wondering how he got it.

I play it form now and then. but its not as fun as the old empires :D
