Alright! Lets get started on this one
.
4000 BC (0) Found Kyoto at starting location, and begin construction of warrior. 2 bonus resources in the first 9 tiles, so this could be a great settler factory! So we start pottery at max science. Worker moves N onto wheat. There appears to be jungle to the S. This could be very bad for our expansion
3950 BC (1) Worker starts irrigating wheat tile.
3900 BC (2) Nothing
3850 BC (3) MM in Kyoto
3800 BC (4) Kyoto completes warrior#1 and begins another. Warrior#1 moves W.
3750 BC (5) Worker completes irrigation and begins road. Warrior#1 moves W and sees were near the coast.
3700 BC (6) Warrior#1 moves S.
3650 BC (7) Warrior#1 moves S, spots horses. MM in Kyoto
3600 BC (8) Worker completes road and moves to game tile. Kyoto builds warrior and starts second worker Warrior#2 moves N and N (and spots cattle 3 tiles due N of Kyoto. Near this cattle might be a good place for our second city). Warrior#1 moves SE..
3550 BC (9) In the intraturn Kyoto has grown so the luxury slider is set to 20% to prevent riots the next turn. Worker starts cutting down the forest on the game tile. Warrior#1 moves S and warrior#2 moves N and spots a second cattle! This will definitely be our second city site.
3500 BC (10) Cultural expansion in Kyoto, which enables us to spot spices to the SE as well as a goody hut just NE of the cultural boundaries of Kyoto. Warrior#1 moves S and spots more spices. Warrior#2 moves N.
3450 BC (11) Warrior#1 moves SE, warrior #2 moves E.
3400 BC (12) Kyoto build worker and begins building a warrior. Sliders adjusted to max science. Second worker moves N and NE, onto bonus grassland. Both warriors move SE.
3350 BC (13) Second worker begins construction of mine on the bonus grassland, Warrior#1 moves S, warrior#2 moves E.
3300 BC (14) Both warriors move S
3250 BC (15) Both warriors move S
3200 BC (16) Kyoto builds warrior#3 and begins temple as a pre-build for granary. Warrior#3 stays to MP. Warrior#2 pops GH and gets a settler!

That settler immediately founds Osaka, where the production of a worker begins. Warrior#1 moves E.
3150 BC (17) Warrior#1 and warrior#2 both move S.
3100 BC (18) - Same as last turn, but warrior#1 spots a blue border.
3050 BC (19) Worker completes cutting down forest and starts irrigation. We meet Korea. They have bronze working and alphabet, but the price is just too high. Other worker completes mine and begins road. Warrior#1 moves S. Warrior#2 moves E.
3000 BC (20) Both warriors move S.
Thoughts: Pottery will be researched in 2 turns, so switch the production in Kyoto to a granary when this happens. The city will make a great settler factory. Osaka will build a worker because theres a lot of jungle, so well need plenty of workers.
Research suggestions: Try to trade Korea for Alphabet (as cheap as possible and go for writing on a minimum science gamble (40 turns)
I know popping the GH was a huge risk (cause were not expansionistic, but I felt it was worth the risk because I had just completed the third warrior to MP in Kyoto, as protection for our capital and our workers. So I felt the possible gains outweighed the risks involved.
Well need to settle the good land ASAP (with the bonus resources), and then move on to the jungle.
