Hi, this is the thread for the new PBEM game I plan on starting.

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the WWII Pacific scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs have been attributed randomly

China - Thrust123
Commonwealth - Dogboy
Japan - Pirke
Netherlands - Rubberjello
USA - rcoutme


Players : 5

1. Dogboy
2. Rubberjello
3. pirke
4. Thrust 123
5. rcoutme

Replacement player : Loulong

Organization and Rules : the game will be called Zero to be recognizable so when you save it, keep the date but change your name in the SAV to Zero.
When you get the game by mail, immediately send a mail acknowldeging you got it and expect one when you send the game along to the following player.
 
Thinking about it...too unexperienced to take US or JAP...and Dutch seem too boring...Haven't even played this scenario solaire yet...

Another thing, I hate playing PBEM sending emails directly to players...it's much easier top post the turn in a thread; can't one do this is these forums?

Well, if you want to join in a scenrio PBEM you'd better take it because there are not that many that are launched. I kind of launched it for the new PBEM players I saw in the main MP/PBEM thread but if you say no evertime somebody proposes something....

About posting the savs here, personally I have no pb but you really need to have it password protected.
 
I will play this game. I just got done playing a PBEM game with this scenario as the Japanese and had a great time. My e-mail is greeneclan AT mchsi DOT com

Of course, all the pbemplayers should have a password; the game practically forces you tro do that anyways.

OK, I am downloading 1.22 full patch. If there are any openings I will play. But what is the pace of the game? My idea is 1 daily turn guaranteed, maybe more, depending if working or not. That's what i could offer, but i am willing to play at a slower pace if that's what other players want, no problem.
 
I doubt we will get one turn a day. The problem with these scenarios is after you get your civ, that's the order of the game. So the save might go from someone on west coast USA to east coast USA after they are already in bed. Then the save goes to someone in western Europe when they are in bed, then Eastern Europe, etc...you get my point. With five civs, it could be as much as 5 day turn around to get the save.
 
I am new to the scenario play (I have only played epic), but I would like to be in. When and how do we start?
 
Thrust 123 and rcoutme, since you are beginners, I want to make sure you understand the "responsabilities" of PBEM, meaning others want to see a game reach its conclusion as you probably would and nobody likes waiting for a SAV for quite some time because then everybody kind of loses contact with the game which makes it go even slower .... in a vicious circle until it stops.
So basically what you should do when you get the SAV is play it immediately then send it and send a confirmation message to the person who sent it to you.

If you understand there is a commitment, I will be happy to leave you my position are it seems we are 6 in which case I will probably let Rubberjello start.

BTW if someone is interested, we will probably have a replacement position soon in Rise of Rome PBEM as it seems one of the players is too occasional to be reliable.

@Dogboy : for "obvious" reasons, is it OK if you get a random Ally power, just to give them a chance... :)
 
I can commit to playing till the end, but with some flexilibity. Right now I can do 1 turn a day at least. But maybe some day I might not be able to do exactly that.
I cannot do more than 1 turn except on days that I'm off work.

Ok, but I DO HAVE BOTH ORIGINAL CIV AND CONQUESTS. It's just a pain to have to have the CD to play, and I didn't think such a pàtch was considered piracy, but will abide to the rules of this forum and not ask for it here.

I have never doubted that you didn't legitmately owned the game. There are plenty of legitmate reasons for asking for a NoCD patch to the game. However, NoCD cracks promote piracy, and are illegal as far as CFC is concerned.

Please check your PMs, and continue the discussion there.

Hope you like the civ you got. I will stand as replacement player, just in case.


The game will start on monday. I will prepare it for Japan. Be sure, especially US to compare after Japan's first turn by comparison to what you had before.
