Installer attached. Not compatible with previous saves

  • Removed several of the new VoteInfo tags
    • NoCapitalPunishment - I think this would be better handled with a generic iHealthChange tag. Not going to do that now but will add an issue to the tracker to keep it in mind for the future.
    • CondemnCivic - good idea, but not put together well. Will add this to the list of potential future additions
    • MilitaryMedicineRights - was just a blanket healing bonus for units. Didnt like it.
    • PrisonerRights - incomplete. All functional code was commented out. Interesting but complex idea that I didn't want to dig into.
    • BarbarianPeace - didn't really fit into FFH
  • That leaves the following new tags for VoteInfos
    • TradeMaps - self-explanatory
    • NoCityRazing - also self-explanatory
    • PacificRule - havent dug into the code on this yet.
  • All new VoteInfo tags should now have their effects limited to the appropriate Council
  • Fixed an issue that kept the AI from declaring war
  • AI should build more Escort ships
  • Couple of tweaks to try and keep the AI on target when sending out Settle or Assault groups on ships
  • Tweaks to how Hyborem's starting location is chosen
  • AI should be more willing to offer embassy trades
  • Embassy trades now include sight on the other player's capital (bugfix)
  • Great Generals will now spawn with civ-specific graphics (if hey have any)

Lost my city and it gave me a dialogue about picking a new civ since I'd lost mine. It allowed me to pick the new civ, and switched me over to it. After that the game was frozen at "Waiting for other civilizations" , before I'd had a chance to move any units or make build orders. There was no way for me to end whatever turn it thought it was in

no easy fix i guess. i'll try again after i'm done with Nobanaga's Ambition Snes game and look for any more issues

No. No easy fix for that. It's related to the Revolutions code but doesnt come up every time you die. Issue is on my radar though. Thank for the report!

Edit: Do you happen to have a savegame from before this bug occurred?

Hey, sorry, just checked and my last autosave from that game is gone. i just purposely lost another game with the same settings but it didn't give the popup. it switched to another civ automatically and gave me control immediately, of one of their units. will grab the save if the bug can be recreated another time

Just guessing here but could that error occur if say player number 5 killed you and you switched to player number 3 and the game is waiting for you even thou your player number has actually processed it's turn already?

Hello.

Happy to report that I played an entire game with this new patch and everything worked nicely. I really enjoyed that you can now trade pretty much anything in exchange for pretty much anything...
- May or may not be related to the new patch, but the AI seems more seaworthy than in previous releases... By turn 300, almost everyone had lots of frigates and privateers, a nice change that made my Lanun strategy a bit more complicated than usual.
I still won an Altar victory on turn 320 (Immortal difficulty, normal speed), but it was close: one of my rivals had completed the sixth altar and was probably already working on the final one.

So, great job once again!

turn 120 - end the turn, get stuck on Waiting for other civilizations

Got it. I'll take a look. Thanks! If you want to try and salvage this game, it looks like unit 458773 is the one causing the trouble
Thank you, found the unit. It was an archer in Torrolerial, which was just conquered, by the looks of it.. Deleting it solved the hang-up.. Will continue on :goodjob:

two bugs. first one, hyborem as at war and at peace with kuriotates at the same time after an undercouncil vote. kuriotates do think they're at war.

Spoiler :

second bug. when you sign a nonaggression pact with someone it says trade util unknown item type 9

Spoiler :

I noticed that the "TradeUtil - unknown item type 26" message seems to appear every time I reject an offer to purchase contact with another player.

bug - Jonas Endain cancels open borders with me. His units stayed inside my territory. Here is the autosave of it happening

he asked for the embassy back right away, while he was still on his turn, and i gave it to him. maybe this had something to do with the error

Strange. I'm not seeing either of these messages though I do see in TradeUtil.py that the trade items are hardcoded. I added a tracking issue for this.

I need a savegame from earlier. In the one you provided the cancellations have already occurred so I cant trace the code as it's happening.

unfortunately don't have. autosaves are on for every turn so if more stuff pops up will grab a few per incident. sorry about that! i love the changes personally, just trying to help get the kinks out sooner :ninja:

Hello.

I may have found a bug. Here's the situation:
I'm playing Lanun. I'm at peace and have OB with both Elohim and Amurites. Elohim and Amurites are at war with each other.
For some reason, my ships (presently in Amurites waters) can't move into (adjacent) Elohim waters, despite OB. My scouts can't either disembark onto Elohim land. I wonder why... Maybe I'm missing something really stupid...

Here's a picture.

That is elohim worlspell, one of strongest worldspells when used tactically at the right moment, AI of course is not so goot at it .
