Please use this thread to discuss or raise questions about the game rules before it starts.

Please don't speculate about your team strategies here. Wait until you have a private team thread - and you know which teams you are allocated to.

Is the game duration indeed 3 months instead of the usual 4 (not even counting extensions...)? Not that I mind, just checking whether it's indeed like this.

Yes. It used to be three months. Then it drifted to four. Let's try to keep the focus.

Conditions/restrictions look interesting. Looks an interesting game. Hopefully with a twist come democracy.

3 months time span could work well as it forces all teams to focus. If the game lasts 240 or so turns it means about 80 turns a month. So 20 turns a week or so. Hopefully teams can plan this better.

Worker stealing restriction with copper nearby is not so much restricting, but at least can make it less extreme

... and teams which fail to secure all the resources will remain eligible for laurels after a 10 turn penalty is applied plus 5 turns for each instance of a resource not accessed.
So, if you miss one resource you are penalized 15 turns?

Just to be the first nitpicker.

Is the restriction for "no peace" for a war we start mean a 'Peace Treaty' or does it include 'Cease Fire'.

I presume it includes Cease Fires, but this should be clear.

"+2 diplo modifier for "you have liberated our city""

Why not say +1 so people won't make mistakes. 1 city gives +1 and two cities give +3.

Yes. Two, you are penalized 20t, three is 25 turns, and so on. In other words, if it is going to take you 40 turns to get that last resource, you can think about whether that is the bottleneck or not.

Yeah, you may not even sign a Cease Fire until a city is captured or lost, if YOU declared the war.

I didn't know that. I guess it would be better to say "not more than +1" in that case.

:goodjob:

Game description edited:

Immortal difficulty level has been added.

" or cease fire " added to Restriction #3.

Restriction #2 changed to " not more than +1 ".

re: +2 liberation

if the scenario designer originally intended to allow 2 cities, then to make it clear it should be changed to +3 not +1. By changing it to +1, you didn't just make it clear ,you changed the meaning.

I did not change the meaning. I might have changed the intent, but I doubt that since I think the intent is that it should not be easy to get a lot of +, not number of cities.

Question is moot since the scenario designer has already ruled on it.

I changed the meaning, sort of. Ther consequences of the change are the same for the players, though: only 1 city liberation maximum in each of the remaining civs.

The main point of the rule to limit the amount of +diplo you can get from liberating cities. You may have a good reason to liberate a city or two besides the +diplo. But +3 is too much.

If anybody wants to give away more cities, just leave them undefended and let somebody take them off your hands.:p

The game description states any resources popped in the last 20 turns will not be counted against us.

Since it would be propbably impossible to monopolize mining or cereal due to domination limit I suppose popping jewellery resources like gems and gold would force us rather to go for Oil corpo instead o_O
