The Mediterranean and India are the most recently opened up to civilized settlement, the middle east is a little cramped. I would probably recommend Southern Europe, India, or Afghanistan.

Persia is a really good NPC, strong trade relationships with both Eastern Empires and Western Trade Magnates.

Iberios is a really fun NPC, they are a Militaristic people in Spain who use spies to spread trouble wherever they can.

Kitanato would be good if you wanted a challenge. They are in Japan but cannot yet build boats, their economy and military are in the tank.

Kush is an Industrious faction with a well established infrastructure in Pakistan.

2. We're more industrious
3. We have Secular Rule
4. We have more trade goods
5. We are more Tolerating
6. If you multiply out the fractions, we have more Literate people in Waset than you have in Zull
7. Eat this pickled grouper

9. We like making lists.
10.The only real Comparison shows Satura on top.

10: Our productive items are actually made by skilled craftsmen (Wicker), whereas your gems and gold are just randomly found in your countryside. VICTOR.
11: We have more wonders than you!

13: Apparently when you add in Stone's outpost and Napata, I am still winning in literacy!
