I do wonder what'll be special about the Venetian Grand Galleas of Venice.
You forgot a few serenes in there

^ Fair enough. I don't think the game is designed around having two of the same civ in the game, though. Once again, it's an easy fix.
The Shoshone include the Western Shoshone, the Goshute, the Northern Shoshone, and the Eastern Shoshone. I assume you think they should be renamed the Northern Shoshone for Chief Pocatello? If it were Chief Washakie, it would be the Eastern Shoshone. But if it's just going to be The Shoshone, I don't see why it would be completely wrong to include the Comanche.
Not that there is any definite guarantee that they're including the Comanche. I just said it wouldn't be entirely inappropriate.

I think it could use some more serenity and the mention of the republic.
The Most Serene Puppet Master.
Either way, I still think its better to just treat this as a hypothetical (Shoshone and the units for Venice)
Seems really silly to give some random reviewer a copy of the game without an NDA contract. Plus the fact that he told us 4 UUs, seems a direct contradiction of an earlier video with Firaxis and 2K where we are only supposed to have 3 UUs left to reveal
This confirms Metallica's "Master of Puppets" as a GWoM

What's the criteria, though? The argument for "Native American" is that it failed to take into account regional cultural differences and resorted instead to stereotype. I don't think it's as bad a that. I think the Irish and Scottish are an appropriate comparison. Common borders isn't really all that relevant, the issue is cultural and linguistic connections.
I don't think there's an confirmation of the Comanche being part of the Shoshone, fwiw, I think this is just speculation.
And I wonder what the hell they get with the liberty SP tree... a useless settler?
The UA actually looks very, very good the more I study it. Due to the double trade routes, you could hypothetically have half your trade routes going to your capital, pumping it up, and half going out and making money. You don't have to worry as much about a bad start (unless it's a no city-states nearby start) because you can pump up production and food while using your other trade routes to make money. You can strategically choose which city-states to puppet for the most resource diversity. You'll most likely get your first puppeted city a few turns after Optics, which in a direct beeline would be...35 or so turns? That's a pretty fast city. And city-states are often located near Natural Wonders., and you won't have to conquer the city-state and take the diplomacy hit to get the wonders.
Tourism won't be a concern, even though you'll only have one city, because you can rush-buy cultural buildings in your puppets with and you can switch great works even in puppet cities. You can use the food you send in via trade routes to pump up your food, allowing you to run Merchant specialists (don't forget that puppet cities default to Gold focus, meaning they'll be running Merchant specialists too) and you can crank out the unique Great Merchants by the dozen, systematically puppeting all the city-states.
So, to sum it all up, Venice seems as if it would be awesome with that UA. Sure, it's a little weak in cities in the early game, but what it will do is establish a late-game trading empire and ride on a most serene sea of gold to a most serene Venetian Victory. Also, policy costs would be low due to one city. It seems to fill the culture/commerce spot a bit better than Morocco. Assuming, of course, that the UA as we know it is real.
Or perhaps they tweaked Liberty. The icon for what was the free settler policy has been changed, perhaps the effect has been as well. And I wonder what the hell they get with the liberty SP tree... a useless settler?
I'm sure Venice can found cities, even if they can't build settlers.
