Can Civilization 4 run on a netbook?

anybody knows how is civ4 on netbook now?
anybody tried it on Radeon HD 6320?

This thread makes 2008 sound like the 1990s.

Posted from my ASUS notebook (Not that the OP seemed to know the difference between a netbook and notebook. Then again, neither did I before entering this thread :dunno:).

Samsung NP305U1A-A01UK
Processor: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD graphics 1.65 GHz
RAM: 4GB

Runs the game far better than I expected.

Actually it's a notebook, not a netbook. I don't know what the difference is.

I used to play it on an old Acer One netbook (Intel Atom 1.6ghz, 2gb ram) and it ran ok on smaller maps but struggled once we got into the later game with huge maps.

That was one of the first netbooks out though, I think modern ones should handle it much easier.

They can, but it can be a bit annoying depending on your screen size/resolution.

I've played using one of these on Windows XP: http://www.amazon.co.uk/2133-Mini-Note-Bluetooth-Enterprise-Widescreen/dp/B0019DOEAE

It was reeeally slow, and the tiny screen doesn't help. The poor experience meant I didn't continue. I used to play on a VAIO FS550 (512 MB RAM, integrated graphics), which was pretty cool, but miles away from the desktop experience.

I'd be VERY interested to see if the core game can be streamlined, especially if it can then be run using Linux.
